°ENGAGEMENT

Roseanne looked at her reflection in the mirror - low ponytailed hair and black off-shoulder dress. Her looks tells she's ready but her eyes says otherwise. She's still afraid and new to this and she hates it.

Sure, she had gotten close to her future fiancé, Jungkook. But that still doesn't change a thing. They were still university students, both forced and neglected. It doesn't mean they kind of have the same situation, they were compatible with each other. They still have their differences and flaws to deal with, how can they expect their significant other whom they just met, deal with those if they can't even deal with their own.

It all seems like a dream, a nightmare in fact, that they can never wake up from. They're like in trance with a strange lullabye forcing them to sleep forever and close their eyes to see a complete nightmare.

"Roseanne," Secretary Kim calls upon opening the door. "Mr. Jeon is waiting for you at the entrance."

It was as if she didn't heard that she kept staring at her own self in the mirror unable to believe what's is currently happening. Unbeknownst to herself, a single tear dropped from her sad eyes. It was unnoticeable even with a make-up on her face.

Secretary Kim didn't stay at the door and came by her side.

"Roseanne," she says softly. "He's waiting for you."

"I'm not ready," she answers in a whisper.

"I know," secretary Kim smiled knowingly. "Just know that he's feeling the same thing and you both need each other for comfort."

"I want to marry someone I love," she said. "Even more, I still don't want to marry anyone."

"There's still time before the wedding," secretary Kom smiles. "Now let's go before your m or Mrs. Ahn storms in here, we are so dead."

She almost laughed knowing it was true and stood up, tearing her gaze away from the mirror. It felt like a dream, yet it wasn't. If it was even a dream.

Jungkook was waiting at the entrance for Roseanne for about an hour now who was supposed to arrive thirty minutes ago. He knew she was trying to prolong the time in hopes of stopping the event. But he knew there won't be any second thoughts in this.

"Son, where is Roseanne?" Mr. Jeon asked, coming for the third time.

"Just enjoy with the guests dad," he told him. "I'm sure she's still getting ready and maybe she's still nervous of coming out. Please give her time."

"I like how you speak, son," his das smiled. "Like a true Jeon."

What would he be? If not a Jeon?

After his dad left, he got ready standing for more minutes to come but decided to go in first to distract the guests are the lack of the hosts.

"Where the hell is Rosé?" He asks Lisa after he finished his short speech and apologizing for the tardiness of his fiancé

"She'll be here," Lisa replies, although drinking her 4th glass of wine due to nervousness.

It has been an hour and she's still not arriving. It sent Jungkook to annoyance and worry at the same time. Worse, both their parents are giving him a look and looks like his mom is trying to hold back herself from approaching Miss Jung.

The door suddenly opened revealing the Roseanne in stunning black dress with a smile on her face. Jungkook wouldn't have moved if Seokmin hadn't pushed him to move.

He walked several meters towards her and held out his hand to her. She gave it to him and he gave it a peck for formal greeting.

"You're late," he said, while smiling to the guests and through gritted teeth.
