°FAR ACROSS
Yes, weeks. Weeks that reached the time where they're a couple of months from graduating and they still hadn't any progress. She was discouraged by it but what could she do?
"You look like you have something in your mind," she looked up to see Jaehyun taking a seat across her. "Mind telling me about it?"
She raised her head for a moment and then went back to staring at the blank paper in front of her which she had been trying to fill with answers but nothing came in mind.
"Of course you don't have to tell me about it," Jaehyun added quickly seeing her face fall.
"University life is really a pain already and I think it just went five times worse ever since I met someone," she sighed, smiling feebly at him.
Jaehyun still likes her but he understands his limits, and now all he could do is be a friend to her when she needs someone the most especially right now. But he can't help but feel pain when he heard that someone already has her heart.
"Do you regret meeting him?" He asked.
"I do," she nodded, chuckling. "But what could I do? Sometimes, I don't, too. He's someone who had attached himself in my heart that I can't imagine a day without him."
"Even though he's hurting you?" Jaehyun looked at her, also pained at her current state. She looked so weak, colors drained from her eyes.
"That's caring, isn't it?" She smiled.
A smile that he wanted to see everyday, but not that smile she was wearing at the moment. It was a broken smile that makes him want to hug her.
But is it really just caring?
He looked away, knowing how she feels. "So where's Lisa?" He asked instead.
"She's having talk with her and Bambam's parents," she answered. "She can't refuse since, well, it's their parents."
"Perks of engagements huh," he laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood.
"Yeah," was all she could say.
She blamed a lot of things and people for her state right now, this wouldn't have happened if it weren't for that stupid engagement. But then they wouldn't have met, so she blamed her ignorance.
On the other side of the library, unnoticed and unknown to Roseanne were Jungkook and Chaeyeon seated at the corner, studying together. They had being hanging out lately, and by that, I mean for weeks.
"You know if you're gonna stare at you ex all day, you're not getting anything done," she said, not even raising her eyes to tell him.
"She is not my ex," Jungkook grumbled, looking at her. "I though I made it clear already."
"Fine then," she shrugged. "We've been hanging out for weeks, months already and you still haven't told me what you two are supposed to be if not past lovers."
"We were friends until she ditched me when she started dating," he said, exhaling sharply in annoyance.
"Is dating that med student, right?" She asked, finally looking to see his face. "Why is she with Jung Jaehyun now?"
"Don't know, don't care," he rolled his eyes and leaned forward to start writing.
"Yeah?" She raised her eyebrow in amusement. "Then why does your face look like it's about to punch me if I ask another question about Jung Jaehyun and Roseanne Park?"
"Are you testing me?" He looked at her.
"No," she grinned. "I'm telling you that you're getting jealous. Friends? Friends my ass, you look at her with heart eyes when I see you."
"You're delusional," he rolled his eyes and packed his things up. "You should hang out with Seokmin and Yugyeom sometimes, you three are annoying."
She watched in amusement as he stood up and left. Definitely not friends just as she had guessed, even at this one Roseanne Park has it all.
"Chaeyeon, aren't you coming?" Jungkook hissed making her stood up abruptly and follow.
"Coming!"
She has it all instead, but it won't hurt if she keeps what's hers for the meantime right? Enjoy while it lasts.
Roseanne paced back and forth at the living room, agitated. She had been waiting for two hours already since she tried calling him but to no avail he didn't answer so she messaged him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
And now she was getting nervous. Both of their parents had requested to come see both of them over dinner to discuss some matters and she had delayed already, thankfully there was a meeting that stopped them from coming early. And anytime it would finish and he's still not home.
"Jungkook, where are you?" She muttered, looking at her phone expectantly.
Suddenly, the door opened. She felt relieved when she saw him but then horrified seeing him sway.
"Where have you been?" She ran to him. "I've called you a lot of times- goodness, we need to meet your parents and my mom- did you drink?"
"Tell them to cancel it, I'm tired," he said, walking past her and falling on the couch.
"O-Okay," she nodded, looking at him as his eyes closed and opened. "Do you need me to get you something?"
She looked at him and walked to the couch and stood beside him. He smelled of alcohol as she wrinkled her nose and moved away.
"We've got exams tomorrow and you get drunk," she scrunched her face. "I'll get you some coffee."
She was happy he was home already unlike the other days he was always late but not really happy he decided to come with alcohol in his system.
She yelped when suddenly she was turned around. Her eyes widened seeing herself face to face with him, so close.
"W-What is it?" She asked, trying to move away.
He couldn't answer when he staggered backwards due to his drunken state. She helped him sit down and tried making him stay that way as she goes to make coffee.
"Just a minute, okay?" She told him. "I'm going to make coffee for you so you can sober up."
"I'm sober," he protested.
"You're not, Jungkook," she smiled. "If you were, then you would be ignoring me right now."
She stood up but he grabbed and stopped her making her trip on his legs.
"I said I'm sober," he said sternly.
"Let go, Jungkook," she sighed, shaking her head. Yeah, she wished he was.
"No."
"No?"
"No."
"Why-"
She froze when he leaned down her face and kissed her, moving his lips on hers.
Why does it felt... nice?
She went bacl to her sanity when she felt his hands around her waist, pulling her closer. She turned her head away to stop him but his other hand had stopped it as it grabbed the back of her head.
She wanted to stop him, but why is she closing her eyes instead?
It felt really nice. She couldn't explain the feeling but it did make her tummy feel funny.
He pulled away and looked into her eyes with so much affection that it scared her.
"Jungkook..."
She found herself staring at him, taking in his features. And it didn't take long when he leaned again...
But he wasn't able to kiss her as he suddenly hrew up on her lap, making her gasp at the hot crummy disgusting liquid that flowed down her legs.
Then he fell back and fell asleep.
She was speechless.
