Zari.
Feeling like another person was on top of me, I slowly opened my eyes to look at my surroundings. The T.V. from last night was still playing, but on low volume. Darrin was on the opposite side of the floor while Cairo slept on the recliner.
I looked down to see Chris laying on me. His head was rested under my breast as his arms were wrapped around me as if he was trying to keep me protected.
As I stared down at him, I noticed how peaceful he looked. For some odd reason he looked cuter than before. His hair was grown out into a wild straight mess with its tips dyed a blondish brown color. His cute freckles were a little darker than usual, but that made him look even cuter.
I ran my hands through his hair but jerked it back when he shifted around. His grip on me got a little tighter, but I didn't mind. This was going to be the calm before the storm, and I wanted to soak it up as much as possible.
"Why are you staring at me? Is something on my face?" His voice was low and raspy. His eyes were still closed but I knew he felt me staring at him.
"No, but I noticed how cute you looked while sleeping. It's been a while since I seen you sleep so peacefully," I ran my hands through his hair and ran my nails up and down his neck.
He chuckled lightly while opening his eyes slowly. He lifted his head up and rested one of his hands on top of my breast.
"I watched you sleep until I went to sleep next to you. I woke up to you trying to get under me. You had this look on your face that made it seem as though you were scared. That's when I laid on top of you to hold you," He made himself comfortable again and closed on his eyes.
"Oh," I looked up at the ceiling and watched the fan move in a fast pace.
"Chris?"
"Yeah?"
"You know that I love you right? You mean the world to me, and I can never not love you. Whatever happens from this point on I just want you to know that you'll always be the man I'd give my heart too." Something stirred inside of me, something I've haven't felt in a long time, and I knew that it wasn't going to be any good. If his father is really behind this, he'll make it hard for Chris and me. I just don't know how hard.
"And I was afraid that you'll never love me again after what I've done. I love you from the bottom of my heart, and nobody can never tell you differently. You're my heart and you're going to have my baby girls again and that's just it," He looked up at me with a smile on his face.
"We're going to have a real wedding. You're going to physically walk down that isle, and you're going to physically push out Malani and Reagan and maybe a son," He arched his brow then laughed.
I laughed with him and shook my head. I kissed the top of his forehead and rested my head back.
"Aw that's so sweet," I heard Cairo chuckle from the other side of the room.
We both turned our heads to look at him and laughed.
"Shut up," I sat up on my elbows and looked down towards Darrin.
Darrin fidgeted in his sleep before shooting up to his feet. I jumped back from him and clenched on my chest as he looked around the room carefully.
"Get up, we're getting tattoos." Darrin slipped his feet in his shoes.
"Darrin what are you talking about?" I arched my brow at him.
"We're getting tattoos. Then we're going to depart ways," Darrin slipped on his light jacket and rushed to the bathroom.
