Zari.

Two glasses of champagne later everyone was finally here, besides my family, Rahme and Chris's father. The house was filled with laughter and conversation as we stayed at the front door.

"I'm tired of doing this bellhop shit," Chris scoffed as he folded his arms over his chest.

"I am too. My feet are killing me," I didn't mind greeting all the people that came but after a while my feet didn't mind. They were pounding and all I wanted to do was sit down.

"Hey newlyweds how are you?" This is lady came up to us again. This was her third fucking time coming up to us to talk about nonsense.

"Ma'am you just spoke to us thirty minutes ago we're fine," Chris looked at her. He was annoyed and I could tell by the tone of his voice.

"That's great, I just want to wish the two of you a happy marriage once again and may God be with you." She smiled as she walked back into the crowd.

"That was rude Chris," I looked up at him.

"I'm fucking annoyed," He grumbled as he took a swig of his champagne.

"I know you are, but baby slow down with the drinking. Everyone is almost here," I placed my hand on his chest to calm him down.

He looked down at me and picked my hand up. He kissed the wedding ring and sighed heavily.

"Only for you," He mumbled on my knuckles.

I smiled lightly and kissed on his cheek. "I love you."

"I love your sexy ass more," He winked.

I rolled my eyes playfully at him as I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Oh my gosh is that my sexy ass best friend?" I heard from the door.

We turned out attention towards the front door. I smiled lightly and waved.

"You are got damn gorgeous!" She hugged me as she kissed on my cheek.

"Thank you so are you," I smiled. "Please, come in. We're begging you."

Carmen walked further into the house as Darrin closely followed. Not once did he look my way but instead gave Chris a handshake before walking into the crowd. My mother nodded her head at both of us before sticking her nose in the air and walking past us.

"You two look great together," Pops stopped to smile at us.

"Thank you," We both said for the 50th time tonight.

"You both look tired to be real," He chuckled.

"Pops we've been standing here for two hours now waiting for everyone to come. Almost everyone is here beside two people," I sighed heavily.

"And who could that be?" Pops arched his brow.

"My father and an old acquainted of his," Chris mugged as he stared off behind my pops.

"Yup and were not allowed to sit down until everyone is here," I rolled my eyes but just as I glanced outside, I could see Rahme and a tall brown skin older man walk up behind my pops.

"Well, I'm going to go find your mother," Pops laughed as he patted us both on the back and walked away.

I felt Chris hand move in circular motions on my lower back. Seeing those two made me nauseous, only because I knew what they were capable of doing tonight. Tonight, could either run smoothly or go straight chaotic.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't one of my sons and his little so-called wife," He chuckled. His lightly brown eyes pierced mines. His dark deep voice sent chills down my spine. It was the same voice that came through Darrin that day we had that little altercation on the steps.
