Sandara Park and her family migrated to America from South Korea when she was eight years old. Her dad who is a medical surgeon got a job offer to work in one of the hospitals in Los Angeles, California. She and her fraternal twins older sister Ami and an older brother Seth attended an exclusive catholic private school all throughout their grade school and high school. Sandara even graduated with the highest honor. She was given an offer and a choice to attend college early with a full scholarship when she was in ninth grade. Her school faculty members find her academically gifted after passing all the state of California exams exceedingly. But she had rejected it. She wants to be a normal student and to be able to enjoy her teenage life.

But don't take her lightly though. She was one of the busiest and most popular students at her school. She was the high school president, as well as being involved in a show choir, drama, key club, and academic decathlon. She also has after-school activities such as music, vocals, dance, and mixed martial arts.

After graduating high school, she decided to attend a local university in California (UCLA). She did not want to be apart from her parents, which made her parents very happy.

Just like in high school. Sandara once again excelled in all her college courses. Her favorite subject is Physics. She's taking double majors in General Medicine specializing in surgery and Communication Media focused on Public Relations. She had joined a sorority group and science club. She even took a part-time job at her school library so that, she can gain working experience which is a requirement before graduating college. She kept herself busy with all her school activities and work. She has no idea of what is going on around the world. She listens to music and watches television shows once in a while. But since she has so many school activities plus her main focus is school, that alone became her world.

Her sworn sorority sisters would always plan to set her up on a blind date so that she can have a personal life as well. Sandara lives in a dorm with her sworn sorority sisters inside the campus.

-Flashback -

Two weeks ago:

It's Friday night, she just got home from a date set up by her sworn sorority sisters. She had met with Josh who is also graduating in the medical field here in two weeks.

She had gone out on a date plenty of times with other guys, but she has never taken any one of them seriously. But this time with Josh is somehow different. Josh seems to be a nice guy and he's the type of person whom you can take home with you and introduce to your parents. Having lab classes together made their communication a bit easier. They went out on a date a few more times within the two weeks that they've known each other and seemed to have hit it off and started a liking towards each other. Though they know that they will be parting ways comes their graduation.

The night before their graduation Josh and Sandara decided to have a dinner date possibly their last one. After taking their MCATS exam and passing it with flying colors, Josh got a job offer up in Northern California, while Sandara will stay in Los Angeles, California. Both are in agreement that they will keep in touch with each other no matter what and maybe, they will be able to continue and pursue their feelings towards each other once everything is settled down.

Back to the present:

Graduation day was a success. Sandara, her parents, and her fraternal older siblings went to have lunch to celebrate.

"Mom, Dad. I cannot thank you both enough for all the things you have given me and had allowed me to do. You have let me experienced this part of my life and I'm very grateful to both of you." She then turned her attention to her Ami unnie and Seth oppa also thanking them both for always listening to all her concerns. Back to her parents "Thank you again appa, omma for always supporting me and for always being there for all of us." As she looked back to her parents with sincerity in her eyes.

Mrs. Park held both of Dara's hands so lovingly and very proud of her daughter who outshined in everything she puts her mind to.

"Sweetheart, I cannot ask for anything else but to see you succeed in all the things that you do as long as you are happy. Your happiness is our happiness too". Mr. Park then put his arms around his wife in total agreement.

"We are just so proud of you, of what you have become", says Mr. Park. "You have not given us any problems and we also would like to thank you for that sweetheart. I know that that you are now of that age and will need to start to build a life of your own.  Just like your older sister and older brother".

"That's right kiddo. Keep in mind that I, as your older brother will always be here for you. All of us." Seth then looked at the rest of his family that he loves so much and promised to protect them for as long as he can.

Ami, her older sister gave her a big hug and also said that "No matter what happens, no matter how big nor small issues, always come and talk to me or us and we will always listen and we will both find the best solution".

Dara smiled wholeheartedly at every one of her family members and thank them for everything.

As the Park family celebrated Dara's graduation and achievements. Her parents surprised her with plane tickets to Europe and Asia, all paid for.

Dara squealed in excitement. Considering that she has never actually gone on a long vacation because of her studies and other activities. Though her family had mini-vacations or weekend getaways, this will be the first time for her to go all by herself. Nervous but excited at the same time.
