The Last Night

A week had already passed when Dara accepted the UCLA's job offer. Yup, she'll be going back to America tomorrow. She and Jiyong made their last week together memorable. There were nights that she would spent the night with him and so many times they almost made it all the way. But Jiyong would always stopped before anything goes out of hand.

They were having a quiet and very private dinner at one of the exclusive rooftop restaurants in Seoul for this is their last night together for a long while. Jiyong reserved the whole rooftop restaurant just for the two of them. It is owned by one of his closest friends. There is also a pianist who is playing music pieces beautifully. After their dinner Jiyong asked Dara to dance.

Jiyong pulled Dara really close to him as he placed his forehead against hers. Dara wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. Both had their eyes closed as their bodies started to sway along as they listen and feel the music with their heart and soul.

As they listen to every word of the song. With eyes closed Dara's tears started falling down her cheeks. Her heart feels like it is going to burst with so much love for the man in her arms. Every word is so soulful and it pierced through her heart.

Jiyong was also taking the words of the song deep in his heart. He knows that he will never ever let this woman in his arms go. That no matter what happens her name is already carved deep in his heart and soul. He pulled her tighter in his arms as he heard her quietly sniffed. He lifted his head a little bit to look at her. He feels like his heart is getting squished by something as he slowly wiped her tears with his thumb; and slowly kissed her forehead down to her both eyes, both cheeks, nose and lastly her lips.

The long kissed that they shared is full of love and promises with each other. It was slow and very meaningful. Jiyong slowly broke their kiss as he kept his eyes tightly closed gathering his courage together. He then looked at her and smiled lovingly as she did the same. He released her from his hold and took something from his pants pocket. He then held it open for her to see.

Dara gasped half covering her face and her mouth as her tears started to fall down her cheeks again. She was gazing back and forth to Jiyong and the most beautiful piece of ring she had ever seen. It was a thick white gold band with small diamonds that is in the shape of infinity and on the center of that is a single solitaire five carats diamond.

Jiyong took out the ring out of the box and put the empty box back in his pocket. He smilingly locked his eyes with hers. With full of love and sincerity showing in his eyes.

"Dara. Babe. I know that we haven't been together that long. But this..." As he pointed at his heart. "This heart of mine seems to know who should it belongs to. It has beated to loved and care others before you. But the way it is beating for you now cannot be compared from before. It is at it's strongest and will only get stronger now that it found you. I don't think it will ever stop beating for you because even if I take an echocardiogram, I'm sure they will find your name deeply carved in it." He teasingly said to her as he playfully raised his eyebrows. That made her laugh. He loves seeing and hearing her laugh. He then bent down on his right knee and looked up to her with full of happiness, love and sincerity. "Dara. Would you do me a favor of keeping my heart beat only for you forever? Will you marry me and be my wife for as long as both of our hearts are beating only for each other? Will you marry me Dara?"

Dara studied his face and installed it in her mind and carved it in her heart forever for this is the man that she will be spending the rest of her life with and will be the father of her children. As she slowly smiled to him lovingly showing in her eyes and nodded. "Yes. Yes Jiyong I will marry you and will spend the rest of my life with you." Her tears started to flow down her cheeks.

Just as Jiyong stood up and lifted her off the grounds and spinning her around. They were both happily laughing and giggling for quite a while. Then Jiyong put her down and kissed her endlessly. Jiyong broke the kiss and placed his forehead against her and whispered. "I love you so much babe. I can't wait for you to be my wife and stay with me forever."

She giggled. "I love you too...oppa!"

Jiyong was stunned but he liked it. He liked it a lot. "Can you please say that again?"

"I love you oppa!"

Jiyong couldn't hide his giddiness and kissed her again and again and again.
