Chapter 21 | Why are you so angry?

Life felt good. I was pregnant with the love of my life's baby, I was a powerful being to be feared, I had basically a circle of the strongest demons in my favor, I had amazing friends and people who loved me and the list continues. In fact at the moment I had spent all night cuddled with Lucas in our beautiful bed before we fell asleep cuddled. The morning hit with him still gracefully sleeping and me pretending to be asleep so I can continue to cuddle him.

What didn't feel good was Abaddon the angel storming through the door with his hair tied back like a damn samurai to wake me up. Waking me up poking me with his fucking sword. It cut through the blanket and made my arm bleed.

Which what woke up Lucas – who attempted to kill Abaddon. At this point the moment and I was already up and Lucas went through the wall. My eye twitched from being so annoyed. Abaddon looked over at me before throwing a few clothing articles at me with the command to meet him downstairs in ten minutes.

"Hey bud, you alright?" I asked as soon as Abaddon left and I turned to watch Lucas crawling out of the giant hole in the wall. I was rewarded with a heated glare. So I just started changing into the white chain-like bra thingy and a pair of lose white chain-like pants. Funny enough Lucas stopped glaring at me and even stopped moving to watch me intently half out of the hole.

I finished changing and slipped on a pair of comfortable black converse then looking over to where Lucas still didn't move. I was feeling good, good enough to wink at him then skip out of the room.

Walking down the hall at a quick pace before Lucas came after me I pulled my hair back into a pony tail. Making my way down the grand staircase I spotted Lithan walking up and I smiled at the boy demon before hugging him.

"Hey, it's been a while how are you?" I asked pulling away.

"I'm alright Lady Cloud, the angel makes me scared though," he replied with a frown.

I held back the urge to pat his head.

"It's ok, if he does anything I'll kill him," I responded sweetly.

He smiled brightly accepting my responds then carried on his way. I watched him go before chuckling to myself. Someone cleared their throat and I looked down the stairs towards the front door where Abaddon stood. The shirtless hair tied back in a high pony tail, wearing a pair of pants that matched mine, holding his damn sword in one hand and of course he was shoeless. I swear if you have status in this society you don't wear shoes.

"Can I help you?" I asked blankly.

"I would start by joining me outside in the gardens you apparently love you dearly," he replied motioning down the hall towards the back door. With a grunt and a sigh I obeyed and soon we stood in the beautiful garden filled with white roses. I bit back a smile, those roses symbolized more than anyone would ever know.

That soft rose scent filled the air as a breeze went by and I basked in it for a few seconds before joining Abaddon in near the edge of the flowers. I noticed Saanti perched on the porch sitting with a cup of tea wearing a black floppy hat and I had to fight back a giggle.

"Cloud eyes on me," Abaddon spoke as if confronting a child which instantly made my eyes roll.

However I did turn to face him.

"Today we will begin to work on your pitiful sense of control. We will start with you calling upon your glory to make a simple defense move," he stated.

I must have looked really confused at his words because soon he was sighing and muttering under his breath that I was "unintelligent and a fool". It wasn't my fault he was jabbering on about defense moves and shit. Sorry Abaddon I didn't realize we were in a video game.

"You are part angel. Glory is a part of you much like a limb or other body attachment. You can use it in any way you choose to. Do that, do not limit yourself. Bend it to be your protection as well as your weapon," he explained gracefully throwing out his hand.

I watched his fingers glow a deep gold before a butterfly took shape and sprung from his tips. I watched amazed as it fluttered its wings taking off into the air. Then, it slowly fell apart – raining down little sparkles of gold.

I looked back at Abaddon who was watching me with a blank face. Despite looking like a brick wall, something shifted in his eyes. I don't know how it made me feel and I quickly looked down at my feet.

"We shall start off slow. Show me your glory," he commanded after a few seconds.

I nodded still avoiding his gaze and called upon all the anger and rage inside me to show this angel I was strong enough to protect all those I loved. I could feel the anger ripple under my skin, boiling then burning.

"Stop."

My process froze at those words and I looked up at him. Abaddon sighed looking up towards the sunless sky with what seemed to be clear disappoint. Despite how it annoyed me I bit my lip and calmed down until the fire under my skin dispersed.

"You're a fool if you believe anger is the key to power," he stated coldly.

"I'm sorry I don't cheerfully think about killing people," I snapped back.

"You should be feeling regretful as of now. Not everything is about anger. Find that thing you fight for but do not fight with anger. Anger is reckless and insensible. Try again, use the glory not the anger," he replied back.

I tried not to kill him. Clearly he never had to fight for anything in his life – he was a fucking angel. He didn't know how hard I had to fight for my place in the world, fight for my brother and fight for those I loved down here in hell. Anger and annoyance burned through my veins and I could feel my glory itching to be released. To show him just how much damage "anger" could really do.

"We are done for today. Clearly this is going to take longer than anticipated considering your stubborn nature. Keep in mind you release your glory now and you will end up destroying your garden," he sighed.

My eyes widened and I looked around realizing he was right. The flowers closest to me had already started to turn to ash. Never in my life did I scramble to calm down. By the time I did Abaddon was already walking away leaving me to grit my teeth completely and utterly annoyed.
