Chapter 27 | The Council has arrived.

Hello my kitties! 

I'm really, really sorry about the super loooong wait but here it is! I took some time to get university out of the way (I'm finally finished for this year!) and had some other issues to sort out - so far everything's alright and so I believe I'll be alright lol. 

Anyways, all that boring stuff out of the way, here is a longer chapter for your troubles!

Chapter 27 | The Council has arrived.

"Oh cloud you look beautiful!" Savannah gushed as Elizabeth fiddled with braiding my long, messy hair back into elegant blonde locks.

"I hope so, I'm nervous," I muttered palming my chest as if to calm my beating heart.

"You'll be fine, they asked to meet you which means you have interested their attention," Elizabeth soothed.

My lips were painfully dry so I held back from responding. Instead, I focused on looking at myself in the large floor length mirror; the gown I wore was a soft dark blue silk, with a lace trail. It was, far beyond my own beauty to say the least but Elizabeth insisted I wear it – with a pair of blue flats. Apparently, Lucas didn't want me in any "unpractical deadly heels" while pregnant.

"Not going to lie, I'm nervous too. I'd rather the vampire council any day rather the demons. No offense," Savannah sighed.

I hummed in agreement. Savannah was due in another month or so, that meant if we didn't figure how to get them home, she wold be dead. Lucas decided for the council arrangement, Savannah would come with us with Elizabeth as guard, I would go with Kitty as my guard and Lucas would go with both Samuel and Sora in tow. We had decided Abaddon should stay here and away from the council.

They did not have the best views of angels despite the situations.

The door to the bedroom opened and I looked up. Lucas sporting a red and black suit strolled in with Samuel and Sora on his heels.

"Damn you look amazing," Savannah gasped seeing her husband in a dark blue and black suit.

Sora seemed to turn to look over at Savannah – and seeing the long black gown she wore he smiled charmingly.

"Not compared to you," he replied swiftly.

My lips curved into a smile at the two. They were absolutely and wonderfully gorgeous together. It melted my heart into a pile of goo. My eyes glanced over to Lucas who cuffed his sleeves then turned to me and smirked.

"Are you ready my angel?" He asked holding out his hand.

I nodded taking a deep breathe.

"Let's go."

The meeting place was Saanti's luxury palace – which I had only visited once since my time in hell. I couldn't help but smile at the memory of first meeting my father-in-law. When he drove a sword through Lucas.

"The council is made of seven demons - all from different districts and all extremely dangerous. Cloud, you haven't met all of them but you have met most of them – briefly," Lucas informed as the limo came to a halt.

"Who hasn't she met and who should we keep an eye out for," Sora asked, his attention entirely on Lucas.

"Segal, Johnathan and Rapan are the only three out of the seven she hasn't met yet however, keep an eye out for Segal and Rapan. Johnathan is a friend of Saanti's so he won't be a threat, Karasek won't do anything to hurt her adopted boy, and Valor is practically sworn to Cloud," Lucas paused to look around the limo, "Segal is a money craved spoiled brat and Rapan is close to flawless."
