Chapter 15 | Trip to a worst place.
I have never been in the dungeon – Lucifer said it was a place even he didn't dare go without a reason. Here, the demons who had truly sinned went. I shivered at the thought. Kitty led me down a dark hall lit only by a few sparse torches and I studied her face. She walked with her head held high and tension in her body.
"Don't go near any of the cells," Kitty murmured to me and I just nodded. As we walked deeper down the hall I could now make out cells made of strange black metal. Behind the bars were the faces of the worst demons in hell. I kept my gaze on the ground not wanting to make any eye contact.
"This way," she said pulling me into a very dark room and shutting the metal door behind us. I blinked trying to look through the pitch darkness when the room suddenly grew very bright. The room was fairly large with a clear box cell in the middle. My own mouth held in a gasp and I froze as I stared at the person in the box.
She sat with barely a piece of cloth to cover her – mostly it covered her crotch and half her chest leaving much skin to be exposed. Her skin itself was a sickening grey colour with faint scars. She tilted her head to look over at us and I couldn't help to whimper then. She had no teeth, her lips sinking in.
"Love," Kitty chirped skipping over to the box.
I stayed in my spot and watched as Kitty placed a hand against the glass towards the woman. Instantly I knew this was Tizana, Kitty's once lover. Tizana looked up at Kitty and grinned, it was a grin loss of sanity.
"I have brought someone to meet you," Kitty told her. Tizana looked past Kitty then and at me. She motioned me closer and I did – one foot in front of the other at a slow pace until I was beside Kitty. I hated the fact that I was shaking.
"Cloud daughter of the great angel Gabriel. I have known about you for a long time, before the angel's ever fell before the antediluvian sun ever shone in Hell," Tizana's voice was cracked and low.
"Don't speak in tongues witch," Kitty snapped banging the glass with the palm of her hand.
I flinched at the action and Tizana laughed, the sound was haunting and suddenly I didn't want to be here anymore. Suddenly I just really, really wanted Lucas to hug me tightly. Something about the dungeon was just unsettling to me and coming face to face with Tizana something just wasn't right about her.
"Kitty can we go?" I whispered deciding now that I really wanted to leave.
She must have seen the look on my face because she nodded.
"I'm sorry Cloud," she sighed grabbing my hand.
"A storm is coming Cloud daughter of Gabriel. You must be ready to decide which is more important – family or those in hell," Tizana called after us laughing.
My eyes widened and I squeezed Kitty's hand hard. We were swallowed up by a puff of vibrant blue smoke and we were brought back to the garden. I stumbled forward towards the white roses and sank to my knees. My stomach was uneasy due to the traveling and I was still shaking from the trip to the dungeon.
"Cloud are you alright? I'll go get Sir Lucifer?" Kitty asked concerned.
My stomach lurched and I groaned doubling over just as vomit flew from my mouth. I revolted again across the lush green grass as I threw up everything I had eaten today. Someone approached, pulling back my hair.
"I'll be right back, don't move her," Kitty ordered.
I assumed she went to get Lucas but I wasn't sure due to being distracted by my own vomiting.
"Shh, you're alright sweety," Savannah cooed softly as I threw up again.
She rubbed my back while holding my hair and I was grateful for the action. It was oddly comforting and made me feel better as I continued to very unattractively gag. By now I was surprised Savannah wasn't gagging by the thick scent of vomit in the air and my eyes were starting to water with the action.
"What's going on?" Lucas demanded from behind us.
"It must have been the transporting I'm sorry. This is my fault," Kitty started apologizing and I waved her off before gagging once again.
I could feel my stomach slowly resting and I wiped my mouth before standing on shaky legs. Lucas rushed over to help me and I rolled my eyes. It was cute though, the pure concern in his eyes as he held me.
"Why were you porting her in the first place?" Lucas demanded with narrowed eyes.
"Lucas stop, don't be a jerk," I sighed patting his arm.
"I'm so sorry Cloud. I wouldn't have if I knew doing such would make you sick," Kitty apologized again and I shrugged.
I didn't really care, despite looking gross in front of everyone but they've seen me at worse times and if they didn't they would eventually. Savannah cleared her throat and we all turned to look at her. She smiled nervously.
"I'm no doctor but this is a lot like morning sickness."
I could feel Lucas freeze and to be honest so did I. Tears burned in my eyes as my heart dropped and for once I prayed. I prayed to every and any god out there that I wasn't pregnant.
