Epilogue | 

Three years later...

The butterflies in my stomach seemed to have morphed terribly into fucking creatures with claws trying to rip me from the inside out. Nothing could have prepared me for this moment. They took away my beautiful twins – Odelia Hope Azul and Vidan Daniel Azul, and they stripped me bare. Scrubbed my body down and dressed me in heavy clothes.

"Would you stop overreacting?" Calum grunted, as Vidan wiggled in his arms and Odelia kicked him in the leg.

I couldn't help smile at the sight. The twins were so different, from their looks to their way of thinking. Odelia had beautiful glossy locks of blonde hair, with dazzling gold eyes and pale skin. She had a fighting and fiery spirit; while her brother had sun kissed skin, dark black hair to match his fathers and sparkling grey eyes, his own personality was more of a sky confidence. No doubt he'd be popular with the ladies in his older days.

"Cloud, focus," Calum said scooping up Odelia into his arms as Vidan attempted to climb his shoulders.

I shook my head free of the pride I had for Lucifer's choice of godfather. And seemingly the current nanny of our children. Our beautiful, and healthy twins. I'm surprised Odelia hadn't been born first with her spirit, but then again I knew Vidan would be a sly one.

"Cloud."

Sighing deeply, I turned my attention to the floor length mirror. The gown was made of silk gold, and white – a gift from the gold demon Rapan herself. My long hair had been cut at the back, with my bangs split into two braids hanging down beside my ears. On my face, rogue had been painted across my lips, glitter to my cheekbones and ink had been brushed across the tops of my eyelids along with expensive mascara.

And of course, I wouldn't be where I am today without a pair of heels (diamond at that) strapped to my feet. Under my breathe I murmured my lines. Today was the day. I nodded at the goddess who stared back at me, I truly felt like one.

"Lady Cloud, time to go," Kitty appeared out of a mist of blue.

"Kitty, Kitty. Meow!" Odelia giggled, launching herself at Kit full speed.

I watched the demon catch my daughter startled. All I could do was shake my head, and hide my smile.

"Good morning Odelia, are you ready for your mama to become queen?" Kit asked with a kind smile.

Odelia looked up, a bright smile on her face.

"Mama was already queen, no one knew it yet," Vidan said instead.

I chuckled, yes my son was sure to be a lady's man. Calum took Odelia from Kit, and I took Kit's hand before hesitating. She would take me to Saanti's palace, where I would be crowned on his balcony in front of all the nobles and warriors of hell. Including what was left of the council. Of course, Lucifer would be crowned before me however, it would be my speech everyone looked forward to.

The angel blood who started off as a slave, then became the prince of hell's wife. The angel blood whose brother tried to ruin hell – the one who also killed him. With glory. In hell. My teeth dug into my lip, I guess I was quite a scandal in hell at the moment.

No pressure or anything.

"Love you mommy," Odelia giggled from Calum's arms.

My eyes drifted over to her. She has both demon and angel blood, so one day all the attention would be on her. The granddaughter of an angel and the blood of one of the first fallen. It was only our luck that Vidan came out purely demon somehow. One day my father could no doubt come for my children.

Then it was decided. I would be the best queen hell has ever laid eyes on. I would take on anyone that threatened my children – demon or angel. My back straightened and I nodded towards Kit. Whatever the future held, I would be queen, and I would protect those I loved.

My teeth gritted, as I pulled my lips back into a smirk.

And god help anyone who hurt those blessed by the queen.

"Let's go."
