*Summer Special: the youngest allies*

I sat in the garden, a moment of peace had fallen over the palace and I was determined not to waste a moment of it. So, with iced tea in one hand and a fan in the other I sat on a chair on the porch facing the garden and enjoying the hot day.

"Cloud I have been looking for you," the voice jolted me out of my thoughts and I turned to face Saanti with a frown.

"Please tell me I can continue to enjoy the sun," I groaned.

"Well considering there is no sun I assume you will do the task I am to give you," he chirped brightly.

Fuck my life.

"What's the task?" Was my only reply.

"I'd like you to watch Lithan while I give Grey my current attention. My plans cannot involve a child warrior - I do not want to taint his little mind," he sang.

Ripping the heart from a man was fine but a date with his wife would taint the boys head? I sighed and agreed. He was better in my care than the demon kings in any situation. Besides the fact the child was absolutely adorable.

"Good, he will be here in a few moments."

What. Before I could question him, he was already gone making me panic. I didn't have any children games or snacks out yet! Hell, I was still wearing a fancy dress - my clothing needed to be bright and playful not a fancy poof!

"Lady Cloud what are you thinking about?" The small voice made me shriek back.

Lithan stood beside the chair with the cutiest look on his face, instantly my heart warmed.

"I was going to change into some comfy clothing," I told the boy.

"What is comfy clothing?" Another little voice I knew well.

I turned to see Digget fluttering over to us with his tiny horrific wings. I smiled at him, hiding my shock.

"Clothing that makes you feel warm and relaxed in. What brings you here today Digget?" I asked brightly.

"Master said Digget could visit Lady Cloud today. Master is in a very important meeting and it would be best Digget is not around," he replied with a cute frown.

Before I could answer, Lithan marched over to stand in front of Digget, his fists balled as he spoke, "Who are you?"

Diggets eyes narrowed slightly at the other boy.

"Digget is Digget. You are the kings guard? Digget has seen you before, you do not remember Digget?" Digget asked confused.

"Why are you visiting Lady Cloud? You seem suspicious," Lithan stuck out his tongue.

Digget gasped, his eyes growing wide. I chuckled softly at the two and placed my hands between them.

Both sets of eyes peered up at me; a smile towards them.

"No fighting, lets play together ok?" I said softly.

Silence. Then Lithan sighed, sitting onto the soft grass, crossing his legs.

"I agree. Silly to argue with this Digget when I am sworn to you by loyalty." I swear the boy humfed after speaking.

"Digget would if Digget could!" Digget cried looking torn.

"But Digget cannot. Which means Digget is not fit to play with Lady Cloud!" Lithan retorted looking trimphunt.

Diggets little bare feet landed on the grass before he glared down at Lithan.

"At least Digget can fly and Lady Cloud can fly. Lithan will be left behind," Digget snickered.

Good lord, these boys were going to grow up to become savages. Lithan looked between me and Digget, his face going red.

This was going on far enough. As they began to argue more, I scooped both up into my arms hugging them tightly.

"Digget and Lithan are definately the youngest and bestest allies Lady Cloud could ever ask for," I giggled.

Thry may have differences but their blushes definately matched.

End.
