Chapter 8 | Love my son, the not so great escape.

"Kitty, can I ask you something?" I found her in the front court area fighting another demon – training – and so clearly winning.

"Of course," her responds had no hesitation despite doing a twirl to avoid a sword between her eyes. I winced as she slammed her fist into the side of his face, the demon staggered back.

"Can you teleport?" I question having an idea what she could do when she disappeared into thin air. My first idea was she could turn invisible but quickly banished that thought when I thought of her respect for Lucifer. She wouldn't dare turn invisible near him.

She paused slightly, the demon thinking he had the upper hand lunged at her. She looked over at me and effortlessly kicked behind her – nailing him in the crotch and he dropped like a stone. I didn't move as she walked over, a slight frown on her face.

"What makes you think that?" She asked confused. I blushed at the stupid idea, teleporting was impossible.

"Um, the thing you do," I grumbled quietly. She laughed, the sound echoed through the air making other training demons turn to look at her with horror. I smirked, guessing the warrior wasn't one to laugh often.

"The thing I do is called flaring, few demons can do it. It's when I concentrate my energy to sort of jump to another place – yes kind of like teleporting only real," she snickered to herself at that last part. I perked up.

"So Lucas can do it?" I asked curiously.

"No, it doesn't matter on the level of power. Sir will never be able to do it most likely because he has an extreme amount of power that he can't control. The king however, has much more power than his son but can. Although the king rarely does it as it is quite exhausting," she explained and I nodded. So in this case power levels don't mean anything.

"Cool," I replied with a grin. She looked at me weirdly but didn't reply.

"Why did you want to know? Plan on going somewhere Cloud?" She teased, I didn't reply. My gaze turned towards the few demons hard at training. Lucifer's proud guards at work, if they were off fighting they were eating or training.

"Cloud?" Kitty asked alarmed. I looked at her, keeping my face free of emotions.

"You're not planning on going somewhere right?" She looked fully on alert and concerned. I opened my mouth to reply then remembered her place and my own. She respected Lucas much more than Lila, no doubt she'd tell Lucas my plans.

"Of course not," the lie was bitter on my tongue but I had no choice. I needed to know more about what was going on, I needed to know who that stranger was and why I knew him and I knew there was one place I'd find out. The surface. But I'd have to get to hells points – a district of Odio, first to the Debil district. I knew in the surface the entrances were protected by forest – the triste forests. I knew it would be a hard trip. I'd go for the south Odio districts, closer to were Valor lived. If I failed he'd protect me no doubt.

"Good. There are evil demons about these lands, most despise angel bloods," she sighed with relief and I sighed that she had so easily bought the lie. I'd leave soon, while Lucas was busy with work and Kitty was training.

"Kit are you coming back?" The demon who she had been recently fought called and she perked up. The woman truly did love to fight and lucky for me it would distract her perfectly. She looked over at me hesitantly and I waved her off.
