I was walking home from school with the heat on my neck. I hadn't talked to Ethan in two days, since the night he left my house very angrily. When I got home the front door was already opened. I walk in cautiously and I go to my room. I see a box on my desk and I frown as I walk toward it. I open the box and a smile forms onto my lips. It was a record player. I hear the front door open and I run downstairs embracing my parents in a hug.

"Thank you for the record player you guys are the best!" I say in a hug.

"What record player?" My mom asks.

"The one in my room? You didn't get it for me?"

My mom shakes her head and my dad had a weird smile on his face.

"Was it you?" I laugh.

He shook his head. "Nope." he smiled. "Now don't you have an exam tomorrow? Maybe you should go study."

I nod running up the stairs. "I'm gonna play some tunes!"

Ethan's P.O.V

"Pull over here." I say to Grayson.

"I know, I've picked you up here before retard." Gray spits. "What are you doing here anyways?"

I grab my bag and I got out the car. "The exam is tomorrow, I have to study a bit more."

"You're really going to go to that?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows.

I nod and Gray rolled his eyes. I shut the door and he was already off down the street. It was dark as shit and I couldn't see anything. I had to find a way into Kendall's room. It was pretty late and I didn't think that Mr and Ms Stone would appreciate me being over at this time. My attention was drawn to a tree. I walk toward it, grabbing my phone out and turning on the flash light. I try to climb up. It was a fucking struggle. The tree branches were brought out onto Kendall's balcony. So I carefully try climb over and when I got to the balcony I leaped onto the ground. Causing a loud bang.

"Fuck." I whisper.

Kendall's lights immediately turn on.

"She's about to go crazy isn't she?" I say to myself.

She ripped the doors open, revealing me.

"What the hell are you doing here?! Do you know what time it is?!" She asks trying hard not to yell.

"I was close." I charge into her room placing my bag onto the ground.

"You brought a bag?" She smiled.

I nod. "Yeah I did."

My eyes fell upon the record player and I smile.

"You like it?"

Kendall follows where my eyes were and she saw the record player. "Yeah I love it-wait a sec." She says with a smug look. "That was you wasn't it?"

"Yeah." Was all i said.

She slapped me in the head. "You didn't have to do that!"

"I did something nice why did you slap me?" I ask laughing.

Kendall shrugged her shoulders. "Thank you." She smiles. "I love it so much."

"Anyways." Kendall said with a confused look. "Why are you here?"

"Thought I would do a little bit more studying before the exam tomorrow."

Kendall nodded and grabbed her English book. We didn't do much, just a bit of revision. Kendall was excited to play music on her new record player. She showed me a whole different types of bands that she was really into. And I didn't want the night to end. She kept changing the song saying; "No this one is my favorite." Then right after that she would say; "No this one is probably my favorite." She did that with every song and I couldn't help but laugh at how lame she was. It started to get later. It was 11:34pm. Kendall yawned and turned the music off.

"You better get going." She says.

I nod grabbing my bag and going to the door of the balcony. I open it and I was about to start climbing until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"I just want you to know." She smiled. "No matter what happens in the exam tomorrow, I'm proud that you tried."

I smiled at her and she embraced me in a hug. And I hugged her back. She let go of me and gave me one last smile. Later that night I went home and I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow.
