Part 5 - Waste of Time

- The next day -

I walk to my last class of the day that was science. The whole entire dragged on. But I wish that it would last longer. Because I had to tutor Ethan today. I was hoping that he would actually turn up so that I wouldn't be going to the library for nothing. The bell had rung and I walked out of class heading toward the library and I took the usual seat. As I sat there Ethan walked into the library heading toward me. He took a seat and looked at me. All he did was grab out his phone and put his legs on the table. I stare at him with anger.

"Do you have a problem?" He asked not taking his eyes off of his phone.

"Do you think you could actually learn something today?"

"I told you seppo." Ethan spat. "I don't need tutoring."

I felt anger boil up in me. I did not fucking come here to get tormented and pushed around.

"No." I say.

"No?"

I push his legs off the table and he stares at me intently and I send the stare right back.

"I came here to help you. I took time out of my day to come here and I didn't need to! I didn't have to but I'm here."

Ethan stared at me and a smirk was placed onto his lips.

"You do talk." He says. "Go on, teach me something."

I breathe for a sec and I nod. Ethan and I made a lot of progress and he got the hang of writing an essay for film. Whenever he didn't get something he would sit back in anger and cuss. Then he would say; "no i'm not doing it." But then soon got over himself once I explained it more in depth. He kept losing focus when we talked about the film. He kept checking his phone and got really agitated.

"Okay well I better get going. Tomorrow we'll work on written text." I say packing my bag and standing up, throwing my bag over my shoulders.

I started to walk away but then I hear Ethan's voice.

"Oh Kendall." He says.

I turn around and he stood up.

"Just because you're my tutor doesn't mean that we're friends."

I don't reply and I leave. Making my way home like usual.
