I was walking home with my eyes to the ground. I clenched my English book in my hand as I try to make my way home without thinking about what just happened.

"Where do you think you're going?" I hear his voice and it rings through my ears.

"Go away." I say. "I'm not tutoring you anymore."

"I didn't say that you could quit."

"I don't need to ask."

Ethan kept walking with my pace. He gripped onto my wrist.

"Stop being a bitch."

Anger rose in me as he stared me down. I shove the book at him and I push him. Only causing him to stumble a little bit.

"You want me to keep tutoring you? Have a look in that book, a whole entire year of work is gone. And who did that? Who could have possibly ruin someone's hard work?"

"Don't fucking yell at me."

"Who would have done that!" I scream. "You want me to tutor you? With what? I have no notes and no phone that have everything in it that I need to teach to you."

"I'll get you a phone." He says rolling his eyes.

"No, just go away and leave me alone. Mr Smith will find you another tutor, another person that you can torment." I turn around and carry on making my way home.

"I had to do it." He says catching up to me.

I ignore him.

"It was either that or Grayson would have beaten the shit out of you. Why do you think I didn't rip the poems out? Because I know that you loved them."

"That's bullshit. And you know it." I spit stopping in my tracks.

Ethan stared at me and ran his fingers through his hair. He didn't say a word. I roll my eyes and carry on walking home. And I could feel Ethan following me. I grab the key out of my pocket and he was still behind me as I try to get into my house. I finally get it unlocked and Ethan pushed his way through the door. I run to my room and I shut my door and I quickly lock it.

"Open the door Seppo."

"Go away!" I yell.

"No." He says. "Not until you open the door."

I groan and I lay down on my bed.

"I will sit here all night. And you know I will."

"My parents will kick you out."

"No they won't. They love me. And you know that." He says.

And I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Then I guess you wouldn't mind if I read the rest of your poems."

I sit up immediately remembering that I didn't get my book back. I get up quickly opening the door and Ethan stood there with his stupid smile.

"Like I said the first time tutoring. You are too easy to crack."

He made his way into my room and I shut the door. He sat down on my bed.

"Why are you here?"

"Because I was bored at school." He replies.

"So after you ruin my things and watch me get pushed around you think it's okay that you come here because you're bored?"

Ethan laughed and laid back onto my bed. "Exactly weirdo, exactly."

"I'm not tutoring you. Your exam is in a few weeks so good luck with that."

Ethan sits up and you can tell he was mad.

"You think I give a fuck about the tutoring?"

"Well why are you here? You said before that I wasn't allowed to quit."

He rolled his eyes and stood up staring out the window.

"I couldn't give enough fucks about it. There's no point."

"Well awesome." I say. "I spent two weeks tutoring you. Two weeks of just pure time wasting lessons."

"Why are you such a bitch?" He asked.

"Why did you rip my book up?"

"Fuck up." He growls.

"Why did you stand there while I was getting pushed around."

"I said fuck up Seppo."

"Why did you call me a nobody!"

Ethan pushed me to the ground and he stood there staring at me. I stared back afraid. Ethan leaned against the wall and slid down sitting on the ground.

"I fucked up, okay?" He whispers. "I fucked up and I know I did. You think you're a nobody? Well at least you're not a fuck up like me."

I didn't say a word.

"You're actually good at something. You're not bad at writing poems, alright? And you're not bad at tutoring." Ethan says with his head down.

I get up and I sit down next to Ethan. He looked at me and I smiled at him softly. And he smiled back. The second smile that I knew was real. He never apologized for what he did. I guess my heart is too soft. Especially for him. Deep down I knew there was good in him.
