Kendall's P.O.V
I miss him. I miss him a lot. His absence was stabbing me in the middle of the night. I keep thinking that he'll come back to my house after school, or jump onto my balcony late at night just so we can listen to The 1975 and talk about our problems. I hadn't left my room. I hadn't talked to anyone. He was killing me. Seeing him kills me. And I wish I hadn't left. The last words he said to me kept running around in my head; You're all I have. He left his mark on me. His fingers tips still lingering the night we last talked. He felt so close.
"You ready for the exam tomorrow?" My dad asked.
I nod and I kept on studying. Well at least trying to. Ethan's name was running in my head continuously and I couldn't get him out.
"Has Ethan been studying? Haven't seen him around here for a while."
"He's been busy with sports." I say looking down on my book.
"Of course." He laughed carrying on with dinner. "You've been quiet lately."
"Need to focus for tomorrow."
"You've got this in the bag, my dear."
I look up from my book and I look at my dad.
"How many chances should you give someone?" I ask.
"Depends what they have done." He smiled at me. "Anyone in particular?"
I knew he knew it was Ethan. He was the only friend I have.
"What if they lied all the time?"
He stopped what he was doing and looked at me. "I guess it all depends what they lied about."
"Can you be more specific?" I laugh.
"If you think they deserve another chance then you should give it. What has Ethan done now?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
I chuckle and I roll my eyes playfully. "He just hurt me." I say. "Nothing new."
"You can give someone as many chances as you want. There is no limit. It's only if you feel like they deserve another chance. It's all up to you, nobody else."
I nod slowly, looking back down at my book.
