Everything that happened after that night lead me to where I am right now. Five years have passed since that happened in Race Wars. Five years since Brian screwed everything up, Leon ran off, Vince had to run, my poor Jesse died, Letty had to run and for some reason Brian let Dom leave.

I stood in California for a year and a half after that, keeping tabs on Mia, making sure that she wasn't alone. After that I decided that I needed to go and take care of me. I traveled for a while, worked and made some new friends which brings me to where I am right now. I had to work while I traveled, met some not so nice people but loyal people and they kept me safe.

Which brings me to why I'm back in LA right now. My boss didn't exactly explain why I had to come back but he wanted me here and here I am. I arrived twenty minutes ago and he told me to come to the office; his go to place in back of the big bosses night club.

"Why am I here?" I asked, walking into the empty club.

"Welcome home! Does he know that you're back yet?"

"Why would he? I don't report to him Campos, I report to Braga." I countered.

"That's true, we have a race coming up. Park gave us four more people, you know how it goes." he said.

"Winner gets the slot."

"Yup, that's why we want you here."

"What do I have to do with this job?"

"Braga wants you to work indirectly on this one, he trusts your judgement. You'll be part of the race but not, we want someone on the road with them not just the cameras."

"Alright . . . race it is. I've got something to do today though, I'll be back tonight." I told him.

"See you later."

Going back to my parents place I took a quick shower and pulled on a black simple dress with black flats and made my way to the cemetery. As soon as Mia saw me she broke down in tears and I couldn't hold my tears in. I felt more than a little guilty but there's nothing I could do at this point.

"She's gone Kay." Mia sobbed.

"I'm so sorry." I muttered.

"I know that you guys didn't get along but thank you Kay. Thank you so much for coming, I knew I could count on you." she sobbed.

"I've been away for a while but you can always count on me."

The funeral was short, Mia took care of everything like she always does and I left with her afterwards. We went back to her house and I stood outside while Mia walked up and opened the door.

"What's wrong?" Mia asked.

"It's been almost three years Mia." I said.

"Oh, are you ok?" she asked.

"I'm fine, it's just weird being here after all of this time." I told her, walking up the steps.

"I bet. Kay, I . . . um can I ask you something?" she asked, stuttering.

"Shoot, what's up?"

"Have you heard from Dom?" she asked.

"Now that's funny." I chuckled.

"I'm serious Kay."

"Why are you asking that?"

"He calls me from time to time, lately he's been asking about you. Wanting to know if I had spoken to you, he asked for your number but I told him that you didn't have one specific phone."

"Why is he looking for me?" I asked curiously with anger spiking my mood.

"I don't know, he said that he was going to try to track you down himself."
