Let's Take A Little Ride

Chapter 14 ✔️

"Oh, of course, he doesn't know about your storage." Mia said with a chuckle.

"What storage?" he asked.

"Follow me Buster, I've got something that'll rock your world."

We all rode together so that we could do what we had to do. It would be a few trips to get everything we needed but we'd have to do it today. Get it all done today. Brian's face was cautious when we got out of the car in front of my warehouse and it made me laugh for the first time today.

I put in my passcode for the doors to open and turned on the lights. His jaw dropped, almost completely unhinged as the lights turned on one by one. Brian walked into the warehouse and his head couldn't move back and forth any faster.

"What the hell is this?" he finally asked.

"My version of heaven." I answered with a smile.

"Where did you get all of this?"

"I won them, I didn't want to sell them all so I decided to put them away somewhere. This seemed like the most plausible place, somewhere deserted where no one would think to find them. I've realized that these cars can make someone a lot of money." I said.

"Holy shit."

"I've already got two of the cars that we need for the first part and I've made arrangements to get the third tonight. Dom gets transferred tomorrow, I've already got four that we need now that I think about it."

"You've got this all planned out." Mia said.

"Oh yes, this is going to happen. I'm not letting Dom go to jail again, I didn't want to live on the run, still don't but I'll do it for him." I stated.

Mia drove Brian's car while Brian and I took two cars to leave at the drop off spot. It took a few hours but it's nothing in the grand scheme of things. After everything was done the three of us got into Brian's car again and went over to the warehouse to get my second car. It was late and time to make the exchange for the last car.

"I'm going with you." Brian said.

"I've got this . . ."

"I don't care, I'm going with you." he insisted.

"Fine . . . see you later Mia." I said.

"Be careful." she said.

Brian jumped into the car with me and we made our way out to the warehouse, the guy was going to meet us close to it.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked.

"Yeah, I know this guy from before I worked for Braga. He's not entirely trustworthy but then again, no one is anymore."

Thankfully everything went down without a hitch. I think Brian scared him but everything was fine, we went to the garage and left the car there before going back home. Mia was sitting up in the kitchen waiting for us.

"Finally! What took you so long?" she demanded.

"There were a few trips to make mom but we're home now."

"What? Why are you . . ."

"Mia calm down, we're fine and we're here." Brian said, giving her a quick kiss.

"I'm gonna go take a shower, we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow." I told her.

"Right . . . I'll see you in the morning."

She seemed kind of off, something got her gears going. I'll worry about that later on, right now I need to get some things ready. I went for a duffel bag that Dom had in the closet and put a few changes of clothes for him and for me along with a few other personals. Once I was done I took a shower and slept in one of Dom's t-shirts again before laying down to try and relax.
