"Come on! Cut us loose." Vince insisted to the indecisive Elena.

After a second's hesitation she cut us all loose and hopped into the driver's seat. All of the guys grabbed a rifle and hopped out. I grabbed a rifle and went right behind them. There were bodies everywhere but I only had eyes for one.

"What the hell are you thinking?" Vince asked me as Dom pulled a hurt Hobbs up off of the street.

"Saving both of your asses." I replied, shooting in the direction of the gunman on the roof directly behind Vince.

We did our best to get everyone that kept popping up until Dom could make his way to the Gurkha. When he saw me he glared my way but I could only focus on the eminent danger and aimed the rifle over his right shoulder to his amusing shock, shooting the two men that were coming up behind him. They ushered me in first, Hobbs, Brian, Dom and Vince getting in after me.

"We're good?" Elena asked.

"Yeah, let's go. Let's go!" Mia ordered.

Dom pulled me into his side and rubbed my arms. I couldn't control the shakes until I had something else to think of. My whole body was shaking after what just happened but all of my fear and shock was put on the back burner for this new fear that saturated my soul.

"Hey Dom!" Vince wheezed, his hand covering his bloody side.

"Vince no." I whispered, rushing to his side.

Remembering some of the first aid classes I've taken I picked up his shirt and applied pressure to the wound. Obviously I didn't have anything to extract the bullet but I tried my best to keep it clean with a first aid kit that I found in the back of the Gurkha. Brian was shooting directions at me to assist but he wasn't letting go of Mia. I don't blame him either, all of this stress isn't good for Mia or the baby.

"You've gotta meet my son Nico, Kay already did." he said.

"I will, she'll take me." Dom hoarsely replied.

"I'll take him so you can introduce them, I promise." I sobbed.

"He's a good kid. You know, we named him after you . . . Dominic." Vince told us.

"You're gonna be ok." I told him, wiping the sweat and ashes off of his face.

"Kay, sweetie . . ."

"You're gonna be fine." I sobbed, covered in his blood and crying.

"You got my word." Dom said.

Elena dropped us off at base and sped off to the hospital with Vince. I was sorely tempted to go with her but I'm needed here more than at a hospital where I'll be of no assistance.

Dom redirected the rest of the team, told them all to come back. They were surprised to say the least and worried when they got back, after Dom explained what happened. Elena arrived a few minutes later, pulling the Gurkha inside and spooking the guys.

"She's ok, she's with us, calm down. How's Vince?" I said, asking Elena as soon as she got out.

"He's in surgery, the doctor said he'll be okay." she said.

"What about when he comes to?" I asked.

"I told the doctor he was an informant so no records and a room all to himself." she replied.

"Thank you." I told her.

"Thank you so much." Mia said.

"We need to move. We don't have much time." Dom said suddenly, walking over to me and pulling me into his arms.
