Chapter 5: Sweet or sourIt's been about two days since my last encounter with the bad boys in the cafeteria. Since then I have refused to go back, choosing to eat my lunch either in the library, at my locker or not at all. However, though I have tried to ignore them, having classes with them is inevitable.
So far I have had English with Logan, Science with Ethan and Maths with Brendan. Now, I know that sitting with them goes against the entire point of my rebellion but I couldn't help it. It was either that or sit alone, and no one should ever have to go through that.
However, it seems to vary in who approaches who. With Logan, I approached him since he's my favourite so far. With Ethan, he approached me because he felt bad. But with Brendan, since our relationship is the most positive, I had to approach him. Yet, after about half an hour we both seemed to relax into one another's presence. Plus, he's actually really good at Maths and offered to tutor me if I ever need it - which I probably will.
Yet, despite all of these wonderful things, do you want to know what has been the best so far?
Having no classes with Hunter.
I've already been to almost all of my classes at least once. Now all I've got left is History, Gym and French and I'm practically begging to god that none of the classes involve him and his idiocy.
Suddenly I am snapped out of my train of thought by the sound of the bell.
"See you next lesson?" Brendan asks, as our maths teacher wipes the board clean of all of the filthy algebra it had written on it.
"Yeah. See you later Brendan" I reply as I walk out of the classroom.
Quickly heading to my locker and swapping books, I head to history. The first thing I see is a large variety of posters on the walls each featuring or outlining a famous event in history. The creativity in each poster fills me with excitement. History is one of my favourite subjects. It was always soothing to learn about the lives of others in the past when I was alone in my bedroom.
"Hey, you're the new girl right?" A voice says from behind me.
I spin around and lock eyes with a small red-haired girl with a very... exotic fashion sense.
She is wearing a pair of dangly feather earrings and bright pink jeans, matching a zebra print tank top under a leather jacket. At first, I'm a bit stunned by her bold fashion sense, however, her bright smile catches my attention immediately."Hi, I'm Heather, and this is really awkward but, do you want to sit next to me?"
My eyes fly open in surprise.
"Um, yeah sure."
She smiles at me and gestures for me to sit next to her. A few seconds later the teacher walks through the door and throws his stuff down on the desk.
"Good morning class, welcome to-"
Suddenly the door is thrown open, resulting in a loud bang echoing through the room making everyone jump. Then who would you guess just so happens to walk in late?
Hunter fricking Jones of course.
His hair is a messed up ruffle that gives him a rugged look. But boy does he pull it off.
"Sorry I'm late" he apologised with a smirk that has all of the girls in the class practically drooling. Well, all of them except me of course. All I see when I look at him and his annoyingly sexy attire is the guy who has sworn to not leave me alone.
The teacher gives him a nod of acknowledgement and he begins to make his way to the back. For a second he has almost made it there without seeing me, however, I was so busy watching him that I don't notice my pen falling to the ground.
