Jay's POV
He pulled me up to my feet, and pushed me outside. I fell to my knees, yet no one saw. No one ever sees, he then grabbed my hand and dragged to to his truck. I climbed in and he stopped to talk to a friend of his. I sighed and put headphones in. As I watched the crowd of teens flood out of the school I spied Amethyst, she seemed to be looking for someone. Then I heard the car door open and slam. "Dammit girl why are you so slow! I swear if I missed my game I'll beat ya!" he threatened. It was normal though, and I knew he wasn't lying.
It all started when I was three.~My mother and father were always so happy together. I guess no one noticed the breaking... They got into drugs, thinking it would give them what they needed, when it didn't. After almost five years my mother died of overdose. I was only eight, my father was destroyed. He would get drunk every night ,it started with name calling. Then came the hitting, then kicking. I would come to school with cuts and bruises, but no one ever asked. My friends slowly left me, leaving me alone. I slowly got used to the pain, then came middle school. I ,not only was dealing with my father, but also bullies and preps. My life worsened, yet I held onto what little I had. So with cuts on my skin I entered high school. I didn't exist to anyone anymore, but then a girl came up to me. Her name was Yuki. She was a girl who came from Japan, so we became friends rather quickly. With that I gained a few more new friends. Ash a young looking blonde guy, Nike a violent minded girl, and Scarlet a really tall girl who actually acted gangster-like. We talked quiet a bit, at school anyway.~
As we arrived home I climbed out of the truck. We lived in a run-down house that way pretty small. Every room was downstairs ,except my bedroom, I stayed in the attic. The minuet I stepped in the door I smelled alcohol. Then there was laughter, "Great he had friends, and he's drunk. Perfect" I thought. I quickly pulled down the ladder, so I could get into my room without being noticed. Although I thought with my luck it wouldn't turn out so smoothly, but it actually did. I tossed my stuff onto my bed then sat at my desk. I opened my phone and texted Amethyst. "Hey" I sent, then within five minuets she replied. Our conversation continued for a bit. I actually thought this night would end quietly, but I was horribly mistaken...
