Jay's POV
My eyes slowly opened and the first sound I hear is a slow and steady heart beat. His chest rose and fell in a slow pattern. I removed his arm from around my body, gently resting it on his chest. I slowly climbed out of bed, hoping not to wake him. I snuck out of my room and walked to the couch. I sighed and thought about last night. Then a loud boom caused me to jump. I looked out the window and although no rain was falling dark clouds gathered outside. I loved rain, but storms scared me. I walked away from the window and back to the couch, where I curled up and watched the weather for about an hour or less. After I had gotten so bored of watching TV I got up and went to the bathroom. I grabbed the clothes I wore yesterday and put them on. Although I disliked wearing the same clothes over again, I didn't want to go into my room and risk waking Alexander.
I grabbed my car keys and went outside. I got into the car and drove into town. I drove around for a while until I saw a small coffee shop, and stopped for a break. I walked inside, and it had started raining by that time. I was greeted by a friendly hello and a few good mornings as I walked to the counter. I smiled as I looked over the menu, but before I could order anything a man came up behind me and said to the lady behind the counter," Two hot chocolates with whipped cream, please." I looked up at him, he had dirty blonde hair and was wearing a ball cap. He looked to be someone you wouldn't see in a small coffee shop in the morning. He was wearing a black shirt with a grey flame skull on the front, and I felt my face heat up as he smiled down at me. I quickly looked away. Soon the woman came back with his order, and he took the cups," Well are you going to join me?" He asked ,I nodded and followed.
"So please tell me your name." He said. I shook off the feeling that Amethyst used to give me and answered his question, "I just have everyone call me Jay." I took a sip of my hot chocolate that he bought. ,"Would you mind telling me your name? I would like to know the name of the nice man that bought me a beverage." The man smiled and looked down. "My name is Sean, and I just thought that asking you out to lunch later might be to long to wait to see you again." He said. I looked at him ,and couldn't help but to smile. "Well I'll tell you this, this is defiantly the nicest way anyone has asked me out. Then again not many people have asked me out." I said with a slightly sad smile. Sean just smiled," I find that hard to believe. How can a beautiful young woman ,as yourself ,not have men lined up just waiting to ask her on a date?" He said. I looked down and took another sip of my drink. "Well I'm not the most favored girl. In fact I seem to stay invisible to most men." I replied. "Now if you'd excuse me I need to find a job. I don't want my roommate to be the only one with a job." I smiled and stood. Sean stood as well and grabbed my hand. "How will I ever contact you? I would love to take you out on a romantic date sometime. I want to learn more about you." I looked down at how he had my hand in his, "W-Well I uh I'll just give you my number, so you can message me later." I said, and with that I wrote down my number and handed it to him. He smiled and walked me to my car. "Well Jay, I will be sure to message you later." Sean said through the passenger side window. I smiled and nodded.
After my time at the coffee shop I drove around a bit longer, and with no luck in finding a job I headed home.
