Jay's POV
*A Month Later*
I laid in bed and listened as the cold rain of February fell onto the house. I sighed, and pulled my blankets closer. The heat had gone out in the house that Alexander and I shared ,and the combination of playing in snow and the cold house, I ended up sick. I hadn't heard from Sean in a week and Alexander was the only company I had, besides K every so often. I watched as the rain fell outside and curled up. I looked at the TV that I had gotten for my birthday. I was watching Alexander play Left4Dead 3. Soon I fell asleep.
When I woke up Sean was at the foot of my bed. "Sick really? Is that the only excuse you could come up with not to see me?" Sean asked with a joking smile. I sat up," For your information I am sick. I don't like it, but I am." I replied. Sean took my hand and said," well get up. You're going to my house for a while. So we can spend time together." I got out of bed and got dressed while Sean waited for me at the front door. As I walked towards the front door where Sean was waiting, Alexander came up to me and whispered," It's really cold and you're really sick okay. So if he tries to get you outside to play in this ,then say no. Watch out for ice on the roads and be careful." I nodded and Alexander hugged me.
Sean and I left the house and went straight to his house. As we pulled up the car slid on ice and for a moment I thought we'd slide into a tree, but Sean kept driving on up the driveway as if nothing happened. As we entered the house he turns to me and with a smile says," I got a real fire place. So now it's real fire not fake!" I nodded and went to the couch and sat down. Sean came over after lighting the fire and we watched TV for a while. Then Sean speaks up, "Jay I have to tell you this. I didn't want to tell you at Alexander's and I was stupid for dragging this out. I don't like you. I mean at first I did and then I saw the marks on your arms and they just make you look ugly. So it's over because I don't want people to look at me weird when you wear short sleeves and everyone can see them."
I looked at him with tears in my eyes. I nodded and looked away. "Alright" I said. Then as I got up there was an explosion and I was thrown against a wall. I looked back and there was nothing there. Then my vision went dark...
