Jay's POV
I laid in my hospital bed replaying the events of today in my head. "I got Amethyst hurt. She might of died today. What have I done?" I thought to myself. Then my phone went off. I looked at the screen and then I dropped my phone and broke down crying.
-I'm still alive and kicking :3-
"Amethyst what are you doing to yourself?" I asked quietly. I wiped my tears and curled up in my blankets, attempting to sleep. The sky was pitch black, you couldn't see any stars or the moon, nothing. I sighed and snuggled in this was going to be a loooong night.
~that morning~
The doctor scolded me for not sleeping, "you need rest, you were so close to going into shock. Now all we ask is that you sleep" He said I ignored him in response. Finally after 15 minuets of that he sighed and left. "I can't sleep, not as long as I don't know what's happening with Amethyst." I whispered. I sighed and laid back down, soon sleep overcame my body and I was out.
The days passed, each slower than the last, until I was able to leave. The first question I asked was "Where is Amethyst Simon's room at?" the nurse I asked happily escorted me there. Yet when I arrived Amethyst might at well been the president. Family and friends squished into the small hospital room wishing Amethyst good luck and good health. I stood at the entrance waiting until I could enter. Finally ,after about an hour and a half, everybody piled out of the room and went their separate ways. I stood up and, as I entered the small room I found Amethyst asleep. A nurse walked in and said "miss visiting hours are over." I turned and said, "This girl saved my life, if it's no trouble I'd like to stay" the nurse nodded and left the room. I sat down on the chair closest to the bed and curled up. Soon enough I fell asleep, I awoke to Amethyst's face only inches from mine. My face went red and I tried to escape. In doing so I flipped out of my chair. Amethyst laughed, "I didn't expect you to come. I thought they'd send you to an orphanage. I was so worried about you." she said as she helped me up. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried also." I replied as I sat back down. Once again I saw the same routine nurses, then doctors, then more doctors. Her family came by a lot but I didn't exist to them. The days passed slowly soon it had been a month. Finally, Amethyst could leave. This was the day I knew she was dreading. "So now where do you live? Where do you go? Will I still see you?" I sighed, "I don't kn-" I was cut off by Amethyst's mom, "Of course you'll see her. You'll see her everyday." Amethyst and I looked at her questionably. She sighed, "You see, after the accident with Jay's father I decided to take Jay in to stay with us. She seemed important to you." Amethyst screamed and hugged her mother then her mother looked at me and opened her arms. I hugged her also as I thanked her over and over.
~2 weeks later~
Amethyst and I laid on the bed reading through 50 Shades of Grey. We laughed and gagged and other things. Yet every once in a while I'd catch her staring at me. I blushed each time, finally I asked, "Why are you staring at me? is there something on my face?" She giggled, "Nah it's just that you're so adorable when you're blushing." She replied. I looked away but I could feel her eyes on me. I felt my blush grow deeper as she touched my back. "I'm sorry, I just answered." She said. "It was amazing how much her touch did to me" I thought. I sighed and I got up. I was about to leave when I heard her voice, "Don't leave, I'm cold and I'm sorry for what I said." She said as I reached for the door, she wrapped her arms around my waist, "Why are you leaving?" I turned to her and replied, I'm trying not to get hurt..."
