Back Home and Waiting

Jay's POV
I was woken up by the woman seated next to me on the plane, and after getting off I met Alexander and Dwayne who instantly hugged me. The car ride home was quiet, and when we pulled into the drive way K was standing on the porch. I grabbed my stuff then met K on the porch.
"Welcome back," K said with a smile, "How was your trip?" I sat down my luggage and stood next to her, "It was fine... I went and saw my father, hung out with some old friends, and swam a bit." I replied as I looked over the front yard. "Did they already tell you?" K asked. I looked down, "Yeah, they called me not to long after they got the call." I sighed, and we stood in silence.
After five minuets of silence I picked up my bags and went inside. I went to my room and locked the door. I put my bags down and fell back onto the bed. I laid curled up in Taylor's side and slowly fell asleep.
I slept through most of the night and when I woke up there was snow falling outside. I sighed and watched as it piled up. When I heard footsteps going down the hall I emerged from my room. Dwayne sat on the couch with Alexander laying in he lap asleep. K was in the kitchen, but there was someone else as well. I stretched and joined Dwayne and Alexander on the couch. "Good morning, I guess we all decided 5 in the morning was the best time to wake up." Dwayne said trying to be enthusiastic. "Yeah" I replied and slightly smiled. Then K walked in and sat on one of the chairs. I watched as the new stranger followed behind and sat next to me on the couch. "Jay this is Ethan. He's a 'good friend' of mine" K said motioning to the guy sitting next to me. "Yeah "good friend" you know if you make out with friends" Dwayne said sarcastically. I smiled and Ethan replied, "it's true, we make out" I giggled and K turned bright red. Ethan had messy brown hair and glasses, his eyes were green and he was slightly tan, he seemed tall and very confident.
After talking about K's boyfriend and kittens Alexander finally woke up and started a 'who's relationship is best' war. Dwayne and I tried to stay out of it all until Alexander tried to get Dwayne to back him up. Reluctantly Dwayne joined the war. I soon walked away after Alexander brought up their sex life. I went to my room and started scanning through books to read, and right when I was going to give up an unfamiliar title caught my eye. "The Bamboo Princess" was the title and I picked up the book and started reading. It didn't take to long to finish reading it. The story told of a bamboo-cutter who found a beautiful baby girl in the bamboo. As this girl grew older she grew more beautiful, gentle, and sweet. Five princes had falling in love with the bamboo princess and thus the princess sent them on impossible quests to earn her hand. After that the princess took care of her father and mother until their deaths in which then she returned to the moon where she belonged.
I laid over the side of my bed and listened as the snow fell quietly. I could hear the argument in the living room, and the sound of cars when they passed.

~ 2 Months Later ~
I was awoken to the crash of something falling in the other room. I jumped out of bed and grabbed my small pocket knife. I quietly left my bedroom and ventured into the dark living room. My eyes were adjusted to the darkness, and I could slightly see. As I moved on I saw a tall dark figure standing near the door. "W-Who are you" I asked. I could hear footsteps making their way down the hall then the lights flashed on and I was blinded. I heard a gasp behind me and as my eyes slowly adjusted to the light I realized who was standing at the door...
