Amethyst's POV
I was cuddling with my new boyfriend after about 3 or 4 months of being home when my mum called me. I reluctantly got up and went inside. It was mid summer and the flowers were all in bloom and the smell was lovely, most of the time. I smiled at my thoughts as I stepped inside the house. My mum handed her phone to me first thing and I read an article from a news paper in Michigan about huge fire. As I kept reading I saw Jay's name. Right under the picture of a charred house it said the names of the people inside the house, "Sean Chandler and Jay-Lynn Moxton were in a house fire caused by a fire place, which it can only be speculated that the fire reached a propane tank. Both were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for their injures. As of now both are still in emergency care and will be for a while." I sunk down as I handed my mum her phone. I couldn't breath and the only thought running through my mind was seeing Jay in a cassette. Tears threatened to fall as Noah walked in. "I've got to go." I whispered "Amethyst you have to speak louder." My mum said. "I have to go to Michigan!" I yelled, "I have to go see if she's ok!" I stood and went back to my room and started packing. Noah walked in and pulled out a second bag, "If you go, I guess I have to go to" he said with a smile. I smiled back and sent a quick message to the familiar number that I haven't seen in a while. "Alright let's pack up" I said with a slight sigh.
Jay's POV
It's been another week ,and already I think Taylor might be struggling. "Come on Tay! We've been playing the same game of Monopoly for a week!" I stated and earned a giggle from Alex and a girl that I would normally see around. She rolled her wheelchair over and smiled," May I just say that you two are my OTP! I've seen you two together so much." Taylor smiled brightly and I blushed. "My name is Makayla by the way." She said and smiled. "Welcome to the Hospital days club Makayla." Alexander said and held out his hand for her to shake it. Makayla smiled, "I'm a big fan."
Taylor and I continued our everlasting game of Monopoly. Then my phone vibrated, "Hmm?" I reached in my pocket and pulled out my phone and on the screen was Amethyst's name. "I read the article and Noah and I are coming to see if you're alright. See you soon, bye" I unlocked my phone and replied to the message," I'm fine really there's no need for you to come up here," but I knew there was no stopping her. Taylor looked at me with a curious look and I explained the whole Amethyst thing. "Well I hope she doesn't intend to get you back because I'll defiantly out-gift her, and win you affection!" Taylor said and stood with a determined look. Then Alexander stood," No! I will win the princesses affection with my gifts!" Taylor looked at Alexander," Then let the odds be ever in your favor, compadre! Now we begin!" I sighed and put my hand on my head. I packed up the game and with one of them on each side of me we went back to my room. I had been moved out of the ICU and into a regular room. As I climbed into bed I sighed, "Just another day in paradise, huh?" My phone ,once again vibrated and I picked it up. "Don't worry. Our flight leaves soon gotta go. See ya soon" Amethyst had texted. I sighed and looked out the hospital window. "Yep just another hospital dat filled with hope and dreams." Alexander said as her snuggled into the chair in the corner of the room. Taylor kissed my forehead, "Goodnight love, I've gotta go home and all. I'll be back after work tomorrow, and call if you need anything." Taylor said as he left."Goodnight." I said and closed my eyes.
