Jay's POV
I sighed as I looked up at the sun. "What season is it?" I thought. I guess I've had other things on my mind, things more important than the weather. The leaves were different shades of red ,orange, and yellow. "Fall" I said as I slightly smiled to myself. I looked back down at my sketch book, it was full of mythical creatures and poems. I laid the book aside and laid down. I smiled and started to think about the weeks to come. "Only two days left. Little to no packing left. Where will we go? First to an abandon building. With about $100.00 in cash with us we will make it. The job park is the one I'm worried about." I smiled at the thought of Amethyst in a Wendy's apron. I opened my eyes and stood. It was late the sun was down. I didn't know how long it had actually taken to think about some things. I must of fallen asleep. "Jay! Jay!" someone called from across the creek. I started to back away slowly as the voice got louder. There were howls from coyotes, and the farther I got the closer they sounded. I turned and started running frantically. I heard footsteps behind me but I didn't look.
As I tried to get to the house ,it seemed miles away. It felt like I was running forever before I reached the back door; I entered the house and closed the door. I slid down and when I did Amethyst came to my side. "Hey what's wrong? Are you alright?" she asked worriedly. I hugged her tightly and smiled, "Yea I'm fine." I replied. I stood up and looked outside. The sun was shining brightly, I rubbed my eyes and looked at Amethyst. "Will you come with me to get my book?" I asked timidly. She smiled and took my hand. We left the house and got caught up a long conversation about music preference.
As we got into the house 'mom' had bags of clothes and coolers of food packed in the living room. "What are you doing mum?" Amethyst asked. I stood beside her. 'mom' looked up at is and sighed, "I'm going to save your girlfriend. We are leaving tonight." She said. "How do you know she's my girlfriend?!" Amethyst asked shocked. "It was obvious." 'Mom' replied. I giggled a bit and hugged her. "Thank you so much!" I exclaimed. She hugged me back, "Alright now any thing you want or need pack up and bring it out.
I smiled and rand back to my bedroom, I packed everything I needed with a few exceptions. Then put my stuff in the pile. Amethyst soon joined, "If this is everything go lay down we need rest for our long journey ahead." 'Mom' stated, and Amethyst took my hand and lead me back to our room.
