The Alexander Effect

Jay's POV
Alexander led me to his car and opened the front door. "Thank you" I whispered. I guess so much has happened to me that I really didn't care about getting into a stranger's car. I got in and we started down the road. I didn't even realize I had walked so far.
The ride was so short but so long at the same time. As Alexander pulled into the parking lot of the apartments he turned to me and handed me a piece of paper, "Here, it's my phone number. If you ever need a place to stay don't hesitate to call. I know this is weird, a stranger offering you a place to stay but trust me. I'm not an axe murderer." He said with a small smile. I thanked him and exited the car. I took a deep breath and started up the stairs to my apartment.
I opened the door to the apartment and the first thing that hit me was, well Mitch. As I walked into the room Mitch was running out, and I guess he wasn't watching but he ran right into me. After that Mitch ran off. I shut the door and gathered up my things in the living room. It was as if my mind was not in control anymore, my body was moving on its own. I walked down the hall and stopped at the door to my bedroom. "Do I want to go in?" I asked myself. I gripped the doorknob, and turned it. I walked inside, and Amethyst was still asleep. "Oh thank gosh" I thought.
I grabbed my duffel bad and packed the few things I owned. I quietly left the bedroom and finished packing. I say my things at the door and then waited. I didn't understand why I was waiting at first, but then I knew.
Amethyst walked down the hallway slowly and I stood from the couch. "Mitch?" Amethyst asked groggily. "No it's not Mitch." I replied. Her footsteps quickened at the sound of my voice. She saw my face and ran to me. She tried to hug me but I pushed her away. "No, that's not why I came back." I said "I came back only for my things, and I want you to go back home." Amethyst looked up at me she was shocked. "W-why?! I want to stay here, and I want you to be with me." She said. I laughed, "You think I'm going to come back after that! You obviously don't understand these things. Amethyst you cheated on me, and in our own home that we shared I will add. I wouldn't want to come back. That's why I want you to go back. Go home Amethyst, we left your mom and she probably should of called out a search party for us, but she didn't. So I want you to sell this place and go back home. Be sure to tell your mom why I didn't go with you also." I said. Amethyst looked up at me with tears in her eyes, "Fine." She whispered and she looked down at the floor. "I will go back home."
After about two hours of trying to get Amethyst to start packing and all I finally gave up ,grabbed my things, and left. I walked down the stairs and pulled my jacket close. I pulled out my phone and dialed Alexander's number.
"Hello?" Alexander answered
"Hey... how about I take you up on that offer?" I said.
"Really? I'll be there to get you in a bit okay." Alexander said happily.
I smiled slightly and ended the call. I sat on a bench and waited for him to arrive.
Finally, Alexander arrived and I smiled and waved to him. He got out of the car and walked towards me. "So you ready?" he asked. I nodded, "Yea.. Maybe a bit to ready." Alexander laughed and took one of my bags. We put my things in the back of the car and as we started to get in I looked up at the apartment and saw Amethyst watching. I sighed and got in the car. "It'll be nice having another person in the house. Now I guess I can record all I want and my neighbors can't call me crazy." Alexander said. I looked at him, "record?" I asked. "Yea I'm not that big but I'm trying to become a youtuber." Alexander replied. I nodded and looked out the window, "truthfully I don't know why I called you. I don't know why I got in the car with you. I guess I've just given up and I'm so tired of the bullshit surrounding my life." I said. Alexander laughed, "Maybe it's because you are under the effects of The Alexander Effect" he replied. I smiled, "What am I getting into?" I asked jokingly. "The best decision of your life" Alexander said.
