LunaThe morning that followed had felt different than past ones. It felt as if Sebastian and I are slowly crumbling, letting our walls down and letting each other in. I wasn't quite sure if that was good or bad for the both of us, because our minds and thoughts were toxic, but maybe together they could be something beautiful.
I hope it's the latter.
"So, are we just gonna go down in our pyjamas?" Sebastian laughed, walking out of the bathroom as he had noticed I didn't change yet.
"I mean, I'm wearing these sweats and my hair is staying like this so I guess so."
"Okay let me put a shirt on and we can get some breakfast." He rummaged through his duffle bag and pulled out a black t-shirt.
"I gotta do laundry soon," he sighed, covering his bare chest.
"Don't they have a laundromat here?" I asked. He just shrugged his shoulders.
Sebastian grabbed the room key and opened the door for me, smiling.
I gasped. "And they say chivalry is dead."
He let out a bark of laughter and wrapped his arm around me as we walked down to get breakfast. The small gesture caused my heart to beat faster.
Once we got down I was met with the smell of food. It smelled way better than sandwiches and canned peaches. Turns out, they didn't have a continental breakfast. They had something even better than continental breakfast. My mouth began to water and I grabbed a plate, piling it with bacon, eggs, and pancakes.
This was way better than hospital food, or the food we had at the creepy diner.
"This is the best meal I've had in a while," he said. I agreed. It's not that hospital food is disgusting, it's usually just bland, boring, not warm. And pretty generic meals too. Except for that soup I had once, that was especially delicious.
"Me too." I sipped my tea. "So we're heading to Death Valley?" I asked.
"Yeah, we're like an hour from there. I'm really excited," he answered, salting his eggs.
"So where after Death Valley?"
"I'm thinking Utah. Salt Lake City."
"With the big lake and mountains?" I beamed.
"Yes," he smiled. I reached over and held his hand across the table. He rubbed his thumb across the back of my hand, and I just sat there, staring into his ocean blue eyes, wondering how lucky I was that he even came into my life. Here I was wanting to meet someone, just anyone to pass time with. And here I am, with the best person in the world to pass time with, my new adventure partner.
Maybe there is a God because I've been blessed with Sebastian Green.

"How was your stay?" The receptionist asked. She smiled politely as I handed back the key.
"It was great, thank you," I smiled back. Sebastian carried my things out to the car for me and filled up on gas.
As I buckled my seatbelt, a wave of nausea swept over my body. I pressed my hand to my stomach and tried to ground myself but my mind was spinning.
My mouth began to water and I opened the car door, leaning out as I threw up. I felt beads of sweat forming at my hairline and my eyes were watering. My stomach felt weak, so did the rest of me.
Sebastian ran to me and handed me a tissue as I rested my head on the door. I wiped my mouth and drank some cold water. It brought my temperature down and quenched my sore throat.
"Are you okay, Luna?" He asked.
I nodded. "I'm okay."
He looked worried, but he sighed and helped me back in the car, shutting the door.
"Maybe take a nap on the way there?" He grabbed a pillow from the back. "I don't want you feeling like this when we get there." His worry was still evident in his features. He couldn't sit still.
"I'm sorry. This is probably ruining your whole day." I croaked, keeping my eyes shut.
"On the contrary. Just get some rest, Luna. I want you to feel better." Before he started driving, I felt him pull my hair out of my face and tuck it behind my ear. He sighed a long sigh, and eventually, we were on the road.
