Luna

The day after Christmas came faster than I had prepared for. All my friends hadn't been to see me in a week and I must admit, I felt really selfish and needy whenever I missed them and wanted them with me. I did spend some time with my parents and had some turkey sandwiches from the cafeteria.

I understand they all have lives as well, I just feel like there's this deep-seated problem I have that I think I must spend every waking moment with them before I leave.

Six o'clock was fast approaching and still no one. Did they forget about me? Did they just decide not to show up?

I pushed those negative thoughts aside and stared at the oceanic wall art in front of me and let myself feel the sway of the water on my ankles and the sea foam forming around me.

The fine sand was underneath my feet and the sunset was glowing on me.

"Hey, Luna!"

I was broken out of my thoughts when I watched as the boys come in. Adam was carrying a bunch of Tupperware containers, Sebastian had presents, and so did Gus.

"Those better not all be for me." I laughed as they placed everything down. Adam began warming up my food in the small microwave that I was provided.

"Oh, they aren't all for you. We saved some presents for each of us to open so it's not only you. We thought you'd like that better."

"Now I feel cheap. I didn't get you guys anything," I sighed.

"Hey, you being here is enough for us," Gus said.

Adam carried over a plate with turkey and potatoes. "Okay, now eat up and when you're done we can open presents."

"He's been dying to know what's in those last two boxes," Sebastian laughed.

We talked while I ate my left-over Christmas dinner that Lily, Sebastian's mom, made.

I couldn't finish my plate, sadly. My stomach was telling me I'm full, and I'm not in the mood to throw up tonight. "Tell your mom that was delicious," I said.

Adam came and took my plate.

"Of course. Are we ready?"

Adam practically jumped into his chair.

Gus and Sebastian pulled their chairs over to my bed and put the presents at the end as I sat criss-cross.

"Okay, who do you want to go first?" I was asked.

"I'm going to let Adam open one of his before he explodes," I chuckled. He let out a big breath of air and started ripping into his Christmas present that was wrapped in gold and white wrapping paper.

He gasped and I tried to contain my laughter. He just stared in shock. In his lap sat a dictionary. A literal Oxford Dictionary.

I exchanged a look with Gus and was barely keeping in my hysterical laughter.

"So, do you like it?" Sebastian asked.

It was quiet and then Adam yelled, "I love it!"

"In what universe does a teenage boy want a dictionary for Christmas?" Gus said as Adam put his present on the floor.

"My honour student little brother," Sebastian retorted.

"Okay, I'll go next. This one says it's from Jamie."

We all watched as Gus opened his present. There was a book, a pair of socks, shower gel, a new video game and some lotion.

"What's she trying to say?" Sebastian laughed.

"She got everything I wanted, plus some shower gel," he chuckled.

"Maybe she's trying to nicely say, 'Gus you stink'." Adam laughed.

"Okay! My turn." Sebastian said as he grabbed his present. This one was from his dad.

It was a red silk robe, a new journal, and a picture of him, his dad, and his grandpa. Sebastian smiled at his presents and ran his hand over the silk robe.

"That robe looks so nice," I said.

"My dad has the same one," he smiled.

"Is it my turn now?" I asked.

"Yes, but we all got you something. So you can open whosever you want first," he said, placing down all three presents in front of me.

I decided to open Adam's first. He stared at me eagerly. It was pretty big, and once I opened it, my heart started to overflow with love for this sweet boy.

"See, I know you guys didn't take any pictures. So what I did was google all the places you went and stuff you saw and glued them to this collage. I know it probably wouldn't be the same if you did take some pictures. Sebastian helped a little," he said.

There were pictures of the same oceans Sebastian and I visited, including the one which we kissed in. There was a picture of the cliff and the lighthouse and he even took a picture of Sebastian's suburban.

I kissed Adam's forehead, "I love this. And you. Thank you."

"You're welcome," His eyes gleamed happily.

Next, I grabbed Gus'.

"I know I haven't known you very long so I had to consult Sebastian to see what kind of stuff you would like," he said.

I unwrapped the present to see a little gold ring with an anchor on it. It was such a little thing but it meant so much, and probably cost a lot too.

"Awe, thanks Gus," I said, putting it on my right ring finger, "it's gorgeous."

"Okay, now open mine," Sebastian said. He pushed the present towards me. Without even opening it, it looked like a picture or something in a frame.

I opened it and stared. In a black frame was like a star map. Underneath was the caption 'I love you.'

"I-I-"

"The first night I told you I loved you, that was the position the stars were in," he said.

I stared blankly at the picture, my heart pounding.

"I love this," I said.

"I knew you would."

"Wow, way to one-up us, Seb," Gus said, throwing his hands up in the air.

"Sorry fellas, but she's my girl."
