Sebastian

"Sebastian?" My mom knocked on my door. I was laying in my bed, staring at the stars on my ceiling when she came in.

"Hm?" I asked, my mind still thinking about Luna.

"Denessy called."

I sat up quickly, the worst case scenarios playing through my head.

"Well- well what's wrong she's okay, right? She's okay?"

"Yes! Honey calm down. Luna still isn't doing better but her parents said you could go visit her if you want. If you could take Adam, I'm sure he would want to see her too."

I hugged her tightly before grabbing my jacket.

"Adam?" He was sitting on his bed, playing his video games. Adam took off his headset.

"I'm going to see Luna. Wanna come?"

Adam basically fell off his bed trying to stand up. He grabbed his coat as he ran past me and slammed his door.

"I think he wants to see her more than you do." My mom whispered and I laughed as Adam made his way to the car.

On the ride there, I felt it was right if I told him what to expect.

"Adam, I know you've seen her in some bad conditions, but I just want to warn you seeing her right now will be hard on you. So try and keep yourself collected so she doesn't worry or anything okay?" I said.

"Well, how bad can she really be?"

"Pretty bad, buddy."

"Okay," he said, his voice trembling.

When we got to the hospital I noticed his hands quivering. I wrapped my arm around his shoulder as we went to the elevator, making our way to her room.

When we went in, Luna was laying in her bed watching out the window as the snow lightly fell on the skyscrapers and streets of busy New York.

"Hey, Luna. How are you love?"

I kissed her forehead and she smiled. "I'm still kicking."

Luna was in horrifying shape. Her skin was pale. Whiter than the snow settling on the streets of New York. Her eyes were darkened and red all around, her lips were dark blue and chapped. I could see dark bruises creeping up her neck through her gown.

Adam stood quietly, standing far away from her.

"Hey, Adam. Come to give me a hug." Adam hesitantly walked over to Luna. Her voice was scratchy and gruff.

He leaned in and she wrapped her skinny arms around him. She has lost so much weight since the last time I saw her.

"How have you been?" She asked him.

"Um. I'm... good," he said.

He was stunned. Seeing her this ill must've been hard for him. He's never said it to me, or anyone, but I'm sure he loved Luna too.

Everyone loves her. Who couldn't? She brightens up everyone's day.

"Adam, if you're scared because I look like a ghost, don't worry. I'm still glowing like the sun on the inside. My heart is still happy," she said.

He cracked a small smile. "I think I'll leave you two alone for a while. I'll go sit in the cafeteria."

"Okay. I'll see you in a bit."

Once he left the room, I pressed my lips to Luna's and she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.

"Guess what?" I asked.

"What?"

"I am going to school again. And, my old friend, he apologized for way back when."

Luna smiled, "that's great! Oh, I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud of you, Sebastian." She put her hands on both sides of my head and smiled, piercing my eyes with her still vibrant green eyes.

"Did I tell you, you look beautiful today?" I said.

"No, you didn't. But I haven't seen you in like a month. So tell me 30 more times and maybe I'll forgive you."

"How about I tell you twice and kiss you 29 times?" I asked.

"Deal," she said, placing her lips back on mine.

"Deal," she said, placing her lips back on mine
