Very spoopy-

Albert, Jake and mah boi Russo are all 10 years old.

~~~
Jake's POV:
"C'mon guys!!" I yelled, gesturing my friends to catch up to me. "But Jake, I heard this place is haunted!!" Russo yelled, nervously catching up to me. "Ah, c'mon Russo! Man up!!" Albert said while running to me, stopping abruptly and looking up at the house. We all stood there in awe as we examined the old place.
It was old and broken down, cracks everywhere and was very rusty. It had broken windows and the door was just slightly opened. "Look!" Albert whispered, pointing at a red stain on the wall, "I bet someone got stabbed the-"
"Albert stop!!" Russo whined while Albert giggled madly. I suddenly thought of a brilliant idea.
"Let's all play Hide and Seek!!" I chirped, looking at my friends. Albert had this wide grin plastered on his face while Russo looked like he was about to piss himself. "N-No!" Russo protested, shaking slightly.
"Hmm.. lets all vote! Raise your hand if you want to play hide and seek!!" I say, raising my hand. "No!! That isn't fair! There's only 3 of us!" Complained Russo while me and Albert raised our hands.
"Well, that's how Life works Russo!! Hey, I'll be hiding. You'll be a seeker.. you can seek with Albert if you'd like" I said, shrugging. His face softened a little bit, but he was still scared.
"I don't trust Albert" he whined. "Who does trust Albert?" I chuckle, looking at Albert's mad reaction.
"Okay, y'all count to 30... when your done counting, come and find me!!" I chirp while trotting inside the rusty house. I walked in deeper as I heard their counting soon start to fade away.
I quickly and quietly walked upstairs, looking around the room. I caught a nice, old closet, and I opened it to see what was inside. There were 3 long pants, covering the wall of the small closet.
Perfect!
I quickly crawled inside and managed to shut the folded doors. I hid behind the pair of pants and sat near a corner, bringing my knees up against my chest. My only source of light was from the crack of the closet, which the light came by a nearby window.
I smiled softly as I rested my head on my knees, waiting for my friends to find me.
It was about an hour later where things started to get rather boring. My friends haven't found me yet, and the light started fading away. Drowsy, I slowly closed my eyes and soon fell asleep in the old closet.
I quickly opened my eyes and immediately felt confused. Soon, the memory of me hiding from my friends flooded back into my brain. There wasn't anymore light, and I could barely make out what was outside the closet.
Creak
Creak
Creak
I held my breath as I listened quietly to those footsteps. They were heavy and loud, and seemed to be draggy. Those weren't the footsteps of a child.
My eyes widened as I heard the footsteps ascending towards the closet.
I felt immensely scared as I try to watch what was going on outside the dark closet. The footsteps suddenly stopped, and all I heard was just the agonizing silence. The footsteps quickly resumed, reaching slowly towards the closet.
A new scent rushed in my nose, and I almost gagged. I couldn't describe it, other then fresh road kill.
I bit my lip as I heard the footsteps stop right in front of the closet, and I could make out a black shadow covering the crack of the closet. I felt a scratchy breathing behind me, and that's when I got the courage to make a run for it.
I bolted out the closet, almost slipping on the red liquid the trailed to the bottom of the stairs. I heard rapid footsteps not too far behind me, and I ran even faster.
I hadn't looked back until I went out of the house. I looked to see that there was nobody there.
This didn't stop me from running though, and I ran all the way back to my house, making a epic entrance doing so.
I saw Albert and Russo explaining to my mom that they couldn't find me, and they all spun around to see me. Albert literally came flying towards me, knocking me to the ground with his hug.
"Don't do that again. Next time, warn us" he whispered, concerned. "What did I do??" I ask, hugging back tightly.
"You've been missing for, like, 6 hours. We spent 3 hours looking for you, then we gave up and went back home" Albert explained, "we've all been worried sick."
".... ships.." Russo whispers, almost inaudible.
"What?" Me and Albert both say in sync. "Heh, nothing" Russo says awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
