Albert's POV:

I quietly tap my foot as the science teacher rants about science. I look over towards Jake, giving him a bored look. "When is this class over?" I whisper to Jake. He glances at his watch, "In 5 minutes."

"Albert! Jake! Pay attention!" Says the teacher, giving us a cold and hard scowl. We both bit our lip nervously as we gave her an apologetic look. She rolled her eyes at us and shifted her attention to the class.

"Alright, as I was saying—"

"Pardon this interruption, we are going on full lockdown. This isn't a drill. I repeat, we are go—" the intercom got cut off and the lights quickly turned off.

The teacher gave us a concerned look and quickly ushered us to the backside of the room. I grabbed Jake's hand and dragged him under a table. We both sat there in dead silence, waiting for a sign of recovery. "Dude this is intense" I whisper to Jake as he nodded in agreement.

We all flinched as we heard the sounds of heavy footsteps passing our door, soon followed by a women screaming at the top of her lungs. The intercom soon came on, but they lights were still off.

"We apologize for the rushed announcement, but teachers, just a reminder, keep you're doors locked. There is somebody dangerous and armed roaming the school hallway. I re—"

The intercom got cut off and a red alarm went flashing in front of our eyes.

At this point everyone started screaming and fleeing out the door. I looked nervously at Jake, squeezing his arm. "Should we look around?" He yelled over the alarm. I reluctantly nodded my head and pulled him up, quickly escaping the weeping crowd.

We both nervously look around until we spot a dark door that seemed slightly open. I squeezed Jake's arm tightly as we descended down the dark and cold stairs. I tried stepping down the last step, but I lost my balance, causing me to trip and fall on my face. I heard Jake quickly come down and help me up. "Dude, are you sure we should be doing this??" I whispered quietly. Almost on cue, I felt something cold and wet wrap itself around my ankle. I screamed and ran back upstairs, tripping once again on the cold and slippery floor. "Dude, What the hell??" Jake asked, pulling me up onto my feet.

"D-didn't you feel something down there??" I stuttered. He shakes his head, raising an eyebrow up at me. I narrowed my eyes and looked behind Jake, seeing half a head laying on the ground.

*insert Albert's 4 year old scream here*

My instincts were literally to jump on Jake, hoping he'd catch me. Fortunately he did. "DUDE GET ME OUTTA HERE!!" I screamed in his ear. He immediately started sprinting out of the hallway, bursting out of the entrance. Everyone immediately spun around, looking straight at us. There was anger and confusion written on their faces, along with a pale color on them.

"Uhm, I can explain." I shakily said, holding onto Jake even more tightly. I looked up at him only to see him roll his eyes childishly, nodding. He instantly let go of me, dropping me to the ground. He laughed loudly, slapping him knee.

I groaned quietly, getting up. I nudged Jake a little too hard, making him stumble back. I chuckled quietly, stretching my legs.

Today was indeed a weird day.
