Albert's POV:

{2 new notifications from 'Lana👌🏼'}

I picked up my phone and opened it.

Lana: (a link)

Lana: you should try it :P

I pressed the link and I just shook my head. "Oh Lana" I said, chuckling quietly. We've become good friends after our breakup, and she's been sending me a whole bunch of dating apps.

I curiously downloaded it, waiting for it to finish.

After it did, it gave me 2 options:

{Mystery Date}

{Pick it yourself}

I smirked, and picked 'Mystery Date'. It told me to pick a gender, and I stopped and thought for a moment.

I never had good experiences with woman, we normally would end up as friends.

Still hesitating, I end up picking 'Male'. I bit my lip nervously as I waited for the results.

{Success! We have picked your date! You may chat with them and pick your date time. DO NOT give away your identity, remember that it's a mystery! :) }

I smiled softly. Maybe this was a good idea.

I opened the chat and started a conversation.

{A}: Hi! :)

{J}: Hey :D

{A}: So.. this is my first time using the app hahaha.

{J}: It's okay! So do you wanna schedule??

{A}: Sure.. what place?

{J}: TACO BELL.

{A}: Lmao okay. Today at 5?

{J} sure. I'll meet you there. :)

~ At TACO BELL 🌮🌯~

I sit at the table, nervously munching on some bread sticks. I kept glancing at the door, expecting a guy with a fancy tuxedo and flowers to approach me.

I stopped doing what I was doing and I stared at a man who entered the door.

"Jake??" I said, raising an eyebrow at him. He looked at me and smiled.

"Oh hey man! So you're on a date too?" He said while fixing his hair. I nodded. "Yeah, I know his name starts with a J. We met on a dating app. He should be here soon.." I said in a soft voice, and went back to tapping my nails on the table.

Jake's face went red, he looked surprised. "Hey, Uh, can I look at your messages??" He asked, too casual for him. I knew something was up.

"Sure?" I say, handing him my phone. His face went redder and he gave my phone back. "T-That was me.." he said, almost inaudible. It took me a minute to connect the dots.

"Oh." I said, my face turning red as well. A grouchy waitress approached us and forced Jake to sit down before he could say anything.

"So, what would you like to order??" She said in such a nasally voice.

"I Uh, I'd like some quesadillas." I say. "Me too!" Jake added.

"Okay, I'll be right back with your drinks" she said, and walked off. We both gave each other concerned and confused glances.

"So... I Uh, I guess I brought these for you" He whispered, handing me a heart box with my favorite chocolates. My eyes lit up like a star. "Thanks! These are my favorite!" I say, taking a few out and shoving them in my mouth. He rolled his eyes playfully and chuckled, which made me blush a bit.

"So.. who recommended this app to you?" I say, making eye full eye contact with him. "Lana sent this app to me, she told me to try it out" he said. "Ah- wait what" I say, confusion leaking from my voice.

Lana tried setting us up, didn't she?

"I think Lana tried setting us up together" I say, laughing softly. Jake looked surprised. "Why'd she do that?" He asks, "does she even know your sexuality?"

"I don't know". I took my phone out and texted her.

Albert: hey, did u send the same app to Jake?

Lana: mhm

Albert: did you perhaps.. try setting me and Jake up?

Lana: yep! im surprised you're smart enough to figure that out ;)

Albert: shut up 😂

I laughed. "Yeah, she did. She's a sneaky little fox" I say. A smile creeped up Jake's face. "Well, she does have her ways. I'm actually enjoying this" he replied in a joyful manner. A swarm of butterflies appeared in my stomach and I felt myself slightly turn pink. Then Jake turned pink, almost like a chain reaction.

"Do you.. wanna hangout?" He said, smiling. I nodded and stood up. We both walked out the door, and I felt Jake's hand slowly tangle itself with mine. A smile crept up my face, and I inched closer to him.

"HEY!! YOU FORGOT TO PAY!!"
