Albert's POV:

I gently took a seat in reading class and slowly hid behind the girl in front of me. Usually, I hated her sitting in front of me. Her big golden blonde locks flowed gracefully down her back, layer after layer.

But in this situation, I silently thanked her for not cutting her hair. I forgot to do my reading homework.

"Could anyone give me their thoughts on Lord of the Flies?" My teacher asked, scanning the room, showing no sign of mercy in her eyes. I quietly opened my binder and began studying my math, feverishly attempting to memorize every equation on the flimsy sheet of paper.

".. Albert. What are your thoughts??" The teacher asked, trying her hardest to hide her sinful smirk. "I-uh.....". I look around the room, desperate for help. I eyed my friend Russo, but unfortunately, he gave me a simple shrug.

"Erm...." I say, scratching my head. I look up, embarrassed because everyone had their full attention directed to me. I made full eye contact with the teacher, and it was clear that she was enjoying every single second of this.

"Hello Everyone! Please pardon this interruption, but please come support your track team!! Come to the gym at 6:30 to support your classmates. Thank you, and have a good afternoon" the intercom blared, making me squeeze my eyes shut and grip onto the desk nervously.

Soon after that, I heard the most beautiful sound ever.

RING!!!

In the speed of light, I shoved everything carelessly into my worn out backpack and rushed out of that horrible classroom, not looking back.

I was in such rush, I forgot to wait for my friend Russo.

"Hey Albert! Wait up!!" He says, running across the hall to catch up to me. He puts his arm on my shoulder and starts ranting. "Dude, it's like she knows whether we did our homework or not. It's like she can see the guilt in our eyes" he shivered, feeling uneasy.

I made a mental note to myself to catch up on the book.

"Well, see you after class!" Yells Russo, walking in his classroom. I silently wave back and continue walking to my class, keeping my head low for good measures.

I feel myself bump into some taller guy with a blue sweater by accident. I shyly look up and my breath felt like it's been punched out of me.

His jawline has more definition than a dictionary.

"I-I'm so sorry" I stuttered, my face turning red in embarrassment. I look up to see him smirking.

"W-why are you doing that face??" I mumbled, my face turning even more red. "You don't remember me?" He says seriously, pinning me against the wall. I open my mouth to say something but then the bell rings.

"Dude I-I'm late for class.." I shudder, trying to escape his grip. Instead, he grabs my arms and swiftly pushes me in the boy's bathroom. He, again, pushed me against the wall and took out a small sheet of paper. It was a small drawing, containing stick figures made by an 8 year old. He angrily shoved it in my pockets, his face showing disappointment and hurt.

"You'll understand" he whispered, leaving me and walking out of the bathroom. "H-Hey! Wait!!" I yell, running out of the bathroom desperately. I look at both sides, and see no sign of this man.

~ Dramatic sKIP lolololol ~

I open the door to my house and silently walk over to my bedroom, dropping all of my school materials on the bed. I took out the small Drawing the mysterious guy gave to me and held it tightly. I sighed, thinking about what he could've meant.

"Y-you don't remember me??.."

I closed my eyes and held the piece of paper against my chest.

After what felt like 5 minutes, I opened my eyes, and I realized I was in a completely different place.

A/N: So, this might be a little confusing but Albert is sorta having this hallucination/flashback thing caused by Jake. K Lemme continue this wonky story lol...

I look around the big and dark forest, slowly starting to get nervous. "Hello??" I called out, walking around and trying to find someone my kind.

I heard some sobbing in the distance. I turn to see a child running and sobbing, clearly not knowing where they're going.

"I-Uh, Excuse me-" I say, trying to get the child's attention.

The kid runs right through me.

I turn around in utter confusion to see the kid aiming for another kid, a little taller than him, sitting on the edge of the lake and staring deeply into the water.

"J-Jacob!!" The kid sobs, finally reaching the kid and hugging him tightly.

That kid sounded an awful lot like me when I was younger.

"Albert?" The kid asks, slightly surprised by such unpredictable embrace. He slowly starts to hug the smaller kid back, patting his back for comfort. "What's wrong..." the taller kid asks, breaking away from the embrace and tilting the smaller boy's chin up, wiping away his tears.

"M-my dad hit me again, and t-told me I was useless" younger Albert said, looking down in pain.

"Hey, listen to me" Jacob said, "Without you, I wouldn't be here. You, are the reason I'm still living each day. You give me the will and courage to go on."

"Albert, thank you for existing in my world" he said, softly kissing his nose.

I let the cold tears softly drip down my face, and I turn back around. I soon see the man I bumped into earlier look at me with sadness and joy in his eyes.

... Jake.

I run full speed to him, and hug him so hard we both fall on the ground. "J-Jake" I sob, "w-where have you been??"

"I've been taken away by someone, but I've returned now, and that's all that matters," he said, kissing my tears away. I grab the collar of his shirt and bury my face against the crook of his neck.

"Please, don't ever leave me" I whisper.

"I won't. I'll be by your side for as long as Life decides for us to stay here"

Jake said he bought plane tickets to see Albert.
