*Your POV*
Betty and I drive back to school. We meet Kevin and Veronica in the Blue and Gold for free period. "Hey, guys," I say.
They both look over. "Hey, [Y/N], Betty," Kevin says.
"How'd it go with the Mayor?" Veronica asks.
"Not, great...we can't let the terrorists win," Betty says. "We need to host, some sort of even at Pop's."
I put my bag down and lean against a desk, crossing my arms. "Something that like, reminds people of the old times?" I add.
"Yeah, like a throwback to when it first opened."
"Betty," Veronica starts and we all look over at her, "I, like a good milkshake, as much as any girl, and Pop's puts Serendipity 3's to shame, but why this hill to die on?" Kevin and I slightly chuckle.
She shrugs, "Orange freezes with my mom and Polly after ballet; chicken noodle soup with my dad after ice skating; grilled cheeses with Archie on the last day of summer vacation; it's where we all met [Y/N] for the first time." That made me look up and slightly smile.
"Well, I met her here," Kevin says. We both laugh.
"Jug, too. He may lose his dad. Maybe we can save this one place for everyone."
Someone knocks twice on the door and then opens it, "Veronica, may I speak with you?" He asks. He has a bouquet of flowers.
"Daddy?" She asks.
"'Daddy?'" The rest of us ask. Kevin and I look at each other and then back at him. Hate me for saying this, but he doesn't look bad. "Um, what are you doing here?" She stands up.
"I just wanted to talk to you about something."
"Okay, but," she walks over to him, "can we do it somewhere else?" They both walk out of the room and she shuts the door.
I shrug, "He doesn't look bad."
"How can someone who's been in prison look that good?" Kevin asks.
We all laugh. "Well now that she's gone, which isn't bad, I may add, but what were some of your ideas about this event for Pop's?"
"I have kind of an idea," we both look over at him, "what if we do like, a retro-type theme?"
"That would be really cool," I say. "and the waitresses could go around in roller skates."
Betty smiles, "You guys are geniuses."
"Well, I did do a little bit of roller skating in my past," I laugh.
"Will ice skating help a little with it?" Betty asks.
"Yeah, definitely."
"We should also have the Pussycats perform for everyone and the Vixens to be waitresses. Veronica and I can ask them at practice, I heard that Josie joined the squad."
"Oh yeah, I forgot that you're a cheerleader," I say.
"How could you forget that?" Kevin asks.
"What? I can't keep up with things," we both laugh. "But yeah, I think that people will love them performing." They both nod in agreement. The bell rings and I grab my bag. We all walk to our next class. I sit down behind Betty and Kevin sits next to me in an empty spot. After a couple minutes, the bell rings again for class to start. A shadow is at the door. I expect it to be the teacher but it's Mr. Weatherbee.
"If I can get everyone's attention.." he starts. Everyone stops talking and looks up at him. "I have some tragic news to share...Ms. Grundy," I look over at Archie, "who was a teacher here last semester, was found...murdered in her Greendale home last night."
"Oh, my God." Kevin quickly says. Everyone starts muttering and looking around at each other. I look back at Archie, and he just stares forward.
"I know some of you were students of hers, and that this news will be difficult to process." he continues. Archie gathers his things, and gets up and walks out of the room. "Mr. Andrews?"
I look over at Kevin, and he nods. I stand up and go after him. "Ms. [L/N]?" I hear Weatherbee say, but I keep walking. I walk out and look around for Archie. I see him walking down the hall, away from the classroom.
"Archie!" I yell and run up to him. He doesn't stop walking but slows down. "Arch, hey." I get in front of him, to make him stop walking. His eyes are a little watery, and he looks away.
He sniffs, "I don't even know what to think right now."
We start slowly walking down the hall, "Yeah...I know that you," I look around, "loved her." I whisper.
He looks down, "Yeah..." we don't say anything for a little bit. "I bet it was the same guy. That shot my dad, I mean."
"You do?" I ask.
"I mean...yeah, I do. M-Maybe, he has it out for me, hurting people that I love." He nods, "You probably think I'm crazy."
"I...just think that you're scared, not crazy."
"You guys are still investigating it a little, right?"
"I mean..kind of, but it's more Betty and Jughead than me. Veronica and I are just standing aside and helping however we can, Kevin too."
"Yeah.." We find a bench and sit down.
Moose comes running over to us, "Uh, they want you back in class."
Archie doesn't say anything, so I do. "I'll go back, but Archie's going to take the rest of the day off," I say. He looks at me, and I nod at him.
"Alright whatever, but he wants you back like now," he points behind him and walks back to the room.
"Go home, and work this out, okay?" I say.
"Yeah..okay. Thanks, [Y/N]," he says.
"No problem." I pat his back once and then get up off the bench. I walk back to class, and everyone looks up at me as I walk back to my seat.
"How's Archie?" Betty asks.
"Not great. He's going to take the rest of the day off." I say.
"Good for him," Kevin adds.

FanfictionSuch a bad title I know. This is the sequel to 'The Diner.' I could've continued on that book, but I felt like I had too many chapters.
