*Your POV*
I drive to the White Wyrm. I haven't been here in a long time. I walk in and see Toni at the bar. I go over to her, "Hey, Toni. Long time no speak," I chuckle. She chuckles, too, "Yeah, how are you [Y/N]?" She finishes wiping up the counter.
I sit down on a stool, "I'm good."
"Can I get you anything?"
"No, thanks. I was just stopping by." I shrug, "You know about FP's retirement party right?"
She nods, "Yeah. I'm sure Jughead's happy about him getting out?"
"Yes. And, I have a question."
"Shoot."
"I was just wondering, but does Jughead come here a lot? I mean, I know that he's kind of a Serpent now so.."
"He comes in for a little bit from time to time. He was here the other day. I think he mostly just writes because every time I see him in here he's on his laptop."
"Okay," I shrug, "I don't know I was just wondering."
"Yeah, no problem." She looks behind me, making me look, too. Betty's walking over towards us.
"Oh, hey Betty," I say.
"Hi. Um, I wanted to talk to you," she looks at Toni, "just more about the party."
Toni nods, "Alright."
"Well, I'm gonna go. I gotta go help Veronica and Archie about this thing." I stand up.
"Okay, see you later."
"See you," I wave and walk out. I get into my car and drive to Archie's. When I get there I go up to his door and knock on it three times. I look to the side and wait for someone to answer. The door opens and Veronica's in the entryway. "Hey."
"Hey, come on in." she backs up for me to walk in. She closes the door behind me and I walk into the living room. I take off my jacket and set it on a chair. She sits down on the couch.
"Hey, [Y/N]," Archie walks in with a glass of water. He sits down next to Ronnie.
"Hi," I sit down, "so I just came by and I think that we should go to the house tonight."
"Hm. Hey, do you still have that gun?"
I raise an eyebrow, "What?" Archie sits up.
"Remember that gun that I gave you a while ago and you said that you were going to put it in some safe at your apartment?"
"I remember. But why do we need it?"
She shrugs, "Just in case something happens?"
"What could happen?" Archie asks.
"He could be there, or someone else? I don't know. I would just feel safer if we had it," Veronica looks down.
Archie puts his arm around her, "Okay." He looks over at me, "Could you get it?"
I nod, "Yeah, definitely. We can get it on the way there."
"Betty said that it was just on the edge of Fox Forest, right?"
"Pretty sure. We'll find it." We all stand up. "So, right now?"
"Yeah. I think that'd be best." We all walk out of the house and get into my car. I drive to my apartment.
"I'll be right back," I say. I get out and walk up to my door. I go inside and into my closet. I move some old boxes and clothes to the side to reveal the safe. I put in the combination that I remember it being and it opens. The gun is sitting in the safe. I slowly take it out. It's already locked, thank God. I sigh and put it in the inside pocket of my jacket. "We're not going to need this," I say quietly. I zip my jacket up and go back out to my car.
"-not even need it, Ronnie," Archie finishes.
I get in, "I got it," I start the car. Veronica nods and faces forward. I drive for a little bit and we reach Fox Forest. "Okay, just look for an abandoned house I guess." I slowly drive around. Veronica and Archie are both looking out the window. He pulls out the newspaper.
"Right there," Veronica points to a house and I look over. I stop the car.
"Alright." We all get out and walk towards the house with flashlights. "Wow," I look up at the house. They walk up on the balcony and I soon follow them.
"There must be some reason why the sheriff kept coming here," Archie says.
Veronica shines a flashlight in a window for a second and then keeps walking. "So, what'd the article say what happened?"
Archie starts reading over the newspaper, "The Reaper came at night while the town was all getting ready for bed." He opens the door for us to go in. He walks in first. "He killed the mother, Mary Ellen Conway first." He puts the newspaper down and shines his flashlight over towards the living room. "Maybe over there?"
Veronica and I both walk into the living room. She leans down and picks up a shattered picture of a woman and a baby. She looks at the both of us, concerned. She puts the picture back down. Archie holds up the newspaper again, "He shot Jim Conway next in the kitchen. He was rushing over to save his wife." We all walk into the kitchen, "He was shot point-blank in the chest. The kids were still in their bedrooms." I look around the kitchen.
"Hiding. My God, Archie." Veronica says. I go through the cupboards, but don't find anything useful. I quietly sigh and close them. Veronica starts walking upstairs, Archie following her. I take one last look in the kitchen and then follow them. I see them in a bedroom.
"They were hiding under the bed." He points his flashlight to a bed frame with no mattress. Veronica looks at it in horror.
I put a hand on her shoulder, "We don't have to do this if you don't want to." Archie looks over at her.
She doesn't say anything for a second. "I'm...I'm fine. No, it's okay. I can do this." She looks at me and nods. Archie goes into another room.
"Okay," I say, quietly. We follow him into the other bedroom. Veronica stops at the door and notices height marks.
"It was a family of four that was killed, yes?" She asks.
"Yeah, why?" He asks quickly.
"There's something weird here.."
I look closer at the door. There are three sets of initials instead of two. I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say that they didn't measure the parents. I look at Veronica, "Weird.."
"You guys," Archie says, getting our attention. We both look at him and he's leaning down over an old file cabinet. We both walk over to him. He opens it to reveal a bunch of papers. He starts flipping through them, "These are all of his notes."
"He must've kept them here to keep working on the case.."
"Is there anything about a third child with the letters 'J' and 'C'?" Veronica asks. He keeps flipping through the papers. "Wait, turn back." He turns back a page. Veronica lifts the page more to reveal a family picture. There are two boys and a girl, instead of just a boy and a girl. "Oh, my God, Archie, there. The Conways were a family of five.."
"Well, now we have to look into this more."
She nods, "Agreed."

[A/N]: So, I know that like they talked to Betty and Jughead about it butttt I'm just gonna pretend that they'd didn't cause I'm lazy and it's not really a necessary scene😂 Bai

FanfictionSuch a bad title I know. This is the sequel to 'The Diner.' I could've continued on that book, but I felt like I had too many chapters.
