*Your POV*
I spent about an hour there, and Toni ended up staying for longer than she thought. I talked to her and she seemed like a really nice girl, to be honest. Like, I guess I can see why people hate the Serpents, because of drug dealing and things like that, but if you get to know some of them more, they're actually pretty nice. I kissed Jug goodbye and went over to work. I should work off a little from what I took from Pop's. I changed and started right away. I worked for about an hour or two, and Cheryl walks in. I go over to her, "Hey, Cheryl." I say.

"Hey," she says.

"I haven't talked to you in a while, like personally. How are you doing?"

"Good, thank you. Can I please have a strawberry milkshake?"

"Sure," I say. She sits down, and I go into the kitchen. I go to the milkshake maker and put in a cup. I wait for a little bit for it to make and it finishes after a couple seconds. I put a straw in it and then bring it out.

"Piece of trash," she says, looking through the window.

"Whoa, who's a piece of trash?" I ask, putting her milkshake down, and sitting across from her.

She sighs, "Kevin."

"Why?"

"He's going into the woods for his 'run' again." She takes a sip of her milkshake.

"Oh.." I look over, "He told me he would stop doing that." She shrugs. I sigh, "Should we go after him?"

"Maybe. If we do we should invite Betty, too. I'm sure she'll just love to see him yell at her."

"Cheryl," I raise my eyebrow.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. But we should bring her."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Can you text or call her?"

"Sure," she pulls out her phone.

"Okay, I'll go get changed." I get up, and go back into the dressing room, and change into my normal clothes. I pull on my jacket and then go back out.

"Okay, she said that she'll meet us here in about 2 min-" she's cut off by the bell. We both look over, and Betty walks in. "Or 2 seconds." She says, tilting her head.

I chuckle, "Hey."

"Let's go get Kevin." she gets right to the point.

"Okay," I say. We all get into my car and drive to the Fox Forest. "Do you know like, where he would be?" I ask.

"No, but we'll just have to look," Betty says. We get there and get out. Betty and Cheryl turn on flashlights.

"Hang on, let me find a flashlight. I think I have one somewhere in here." I say. My phone's flashlight honestly sucks.

"Okay, we'll text you if anything happens," Cheryl says. They both get out and start walking.

I look around and try to find a flashlight. I open the glovebox, and all I find are old manuals for this car that I never used. I look behind, and underneath the seats. Nothing. I thought I had one in here. I keep looking a little more, and I find one underneath the driver's seat. "Of course," I say to myself. I open the door, and kneel down and reach for it. I get it and switch the button. It blinks three times and then turns on. "Low battery, I guess that's okay." I walk around, looking for them.

"Except! For when she's Dark Betty," I hear someone say. Sounds like Cheryl. I walk closer to the noise.

"Right! Right, right! Except for when you're exploring your BDSM sexuality." Kevin says. I tap on Cheryl's shoulder. She turns around and we back up out of the light.

"Things just got good," she whispers.

"You're allowed to do but I'm not. Because, why? This," he puts his arms out, "is what I've got, Betty. These woods. So, please don't come here and tell me it's disgusting. If you can't accept what I do, whatever I do, then we're just...We're not really friends," he nods, and walks off, not noticing that I was ever there. I guess that's good.. I don't want to lose this friendship with him, and have him explode on me, too.

Cheryl walks closer to her, "Well, didn't that go well?"

"I'm sorry, Betty." I say.

"It's...it's okay I guess," she says, not moving from where she was.

"Okay, not to be like, a bad person but," I start, and she looks over at me. "I think that you should stop digging. Because things like this," I shine my flashlight over to where Kevin used to be, "happen. You lose friends. Kevin told me that you guys used to be really good friends. But that's starting to go away because you keep getting into things like this.."

She doesn't say anything for a second, "Can we just go?"

Cheryl and I look at each other. "Yeah, I guess." we all walk back and get into my car.

The ride is silent. We arrive at Betty's house, and she opens the door. "Thanks for the ride.." she says and walks in. Cheryl scoots over to the passenger's seat from the middle.

I sigh and start driving. "I just feel bad for Betty. I don't think that Kevin's going to want to talk to her for a while."

"Yeah. But, you were right about one thing."

"What?"

"Betty should stop digging. I mean, before you got here, she wasn't really like this. She was just, a normal teenage girl, the perfect girl next door, as what people like to call her."

"I guess it's just stuff with her sister," I shrug.

"Yeah, I guess."

About 20 minutes later, we arrive at her house. "Thanks for the ride, see you tomorrow," Cheryl says, getting out of the car.

"See you," I say. She walks in, and I drive off.

I wake up to a text from Toni. She gave me her number yesterday.

Toni🐍🐲💖:
Might want to come to Jug's trailer, he wants to talk to you.

I make a confused look and text her back.

To Toni🐍🐲💖:
Okay? Be there soon.

I get dressed in some normal clothes and take an apple with me for the road. I grab my backpack and walk to my car. I get in and drive to Sunnyside Trailer Park. I drive and park next to his dad's trailer and get out. I walk up to it and knock a couple times. Toni answers. "Hey, what's going on?" She lets me in and I look over. Jughead's on the couch with a beaten up face. My eyes slightly widen. "What happened?"

He sighs, "Just took a spill on my motorcycle.

I walk over and sit on the coffee table. I look to my right and find a bottle of alcohol and some cotton balls. "Hm." I open the alcohol and drip it onto the cotton ball.

"Don't worry though, I'm fine."

"Can't you just..take a day off? You know I worry about you." I slowly rub the cotton ball on his forehead.

"It's not that bad, just some cuts and bruises."

"Did you at least wear a helmet?" God, I sound like a total mom right now.

"It was just around the block. But hey, don't blame me, alright? Blame the pothole."

"I thought you were going to say that you were jumped by those, Ghoulies."

"The Serpents won't allow that." Toni says, and I look over at her, "They've got Jughead's back, even though he's not completely a member. It's just family loyalty."

"Alright. Well, unfortunately, I have to go." I stand up. "Try to go fix this mess that Betty made with Kevin." I grab my bag. "Toni, will you, just keep an eye on him?" I laugh.

"All over it," she says.

I smile, "Thanks." I turn back to Jug, "I'll see you later." I walk out and drive to school.
