*Your POV*
I hear someone knocking on my door. I slowly open my eyes, and check my phone. It's 03:00. Jesus Christ. I get out of bed, and rub my eyes. I open the door, to see the one and only Betty. Great."Betty? Is that you?" I say, squinting my eyes. "What are you doing here? It's freaking 3 in the morning. Go back to bed." I start to close the door, but she stops me by stopping the door. The noise of the hand slamming on the door makes my eyes widen. I'm still not fully awake yet.
"We're going to spy on Sheriff Keller. Let's go." She turns around and walks away from the door. I see her car parked outside with Veronica sitting in the passenger's seat. How did she get Veronica to come? ((I guess i never really told you this, but she lives in an apartment like a motel, so her door leads to the outside, and she's on like the second floor 😂)) I remember that she got her license a couple days ago. Good for her.
"What?" I turn around and put my hands up. I groan and put a sweatshirt on. I walk outside, and get into the passenger's seat. I start to wake up a little more.
"So, what exactly are we doing?" I ask.
"Following Keller to see where he's going." Veronica says.
"Oh. Got it." We pull up to his house a little while later. And of course, he's getting in his car.
"Look," Betty says. He drives off somewhere. "Where do you think you're going, Keller?" We wait a little bit for him to get in front of us. Betty switches the gear to 'drive,' and follows him. The car ride is silent until we get to a motel... He gets out of his car, and grabs a bag.
"What is he doing?" Veronica asks.
"That must be his kill kit," Betty says. I could spit out all my thoughts about this whole thing, but that would be disrespectful. She pulls out her phone and takes pictures.
"His what now?"
"He's about to do something terrible. His next victim could be in that room right now."
"Could," I repeat.
"Should we call the cops?" Veronica asks, as Betty opens the door and gets out.
"He is the cops." I open my door and walk out as well. She goes over to where he is and hides behind a tall bush.
"What the hell are you doing?" Veronica whispers. Betty shushes her and then looks back at him. He knocks on a door twice. Someone answers, and it's Mayor McCoy...Betty and Veronica both have shocked looks on their faces. Mine's just blank. I'm not really sure what to say about this. We all run back to the car, and she drives. "Where are we going?"
"Pop's."
"But it's late." I wine from the back seat.
"So?"
I sigh, "Alright, whatever." I lean against the door, and look out the window until we get there. When we do, we all walk in. Cheryl and Josie are sitting in a booth. I give them a little wave, and Cheryl waves back, while Josie's drinking something. I sit down next to Betty, across from Veronica. "Why are we here?"
"Just to talk, I guess. I don't know. This is," she switches from looking at me, to Veronica twice, "just crazy. I'm in shock."
"I know. Me too." Veronica says, "I mean, I knew that he was having an affair, but with Mayor McCoy? Really?" Pop comes over with some milkshakes.
"Thanks." I quickly say. I shrug, "Riverdale's full of secrets."
"And their list of 'sinners' keeps expanding." Betty nods.
"What do we do?" I ask.
Veronica shrugs, "What can we do?" I tilt my head, telling her that she's got a point. She looks behind Betty and I, "Oh, look. It's the boys." Betty turns around, but I don't. "Should we ask them to join?" She pauses, "On second thought, it looks like they're having an intense 'broment.'" That made me turn around. Jughead and Archie are sitting in a booth across from the door. I turn back around and just stare at the table.
"Okay, but how are we gonna tell Kevin about this?" Betty asks.
"Um, we're not." I put my hand on the table. "I don't want to ruin my friendship with him. I'm done snooping, for Kevin's dad." I take a sip of my milkshake.
"I have to agree. This is going to be one of those secrets that we keep to ourselves." Veronica says. Betty looks down and nods. She looks out the window.
"So, you can cross him being the Black Hood off your list," I say. Betty nods. The phone for Pop's starts ringing, and I look over. He answers it, and I look back down at the table. I rest my elbow on the table, and my head on my hand. I sigh.
"That was him on the phone." Pop says, making everyone look over. "The Black Hood." Veronica and I both look at each other, and then back at him. Betty and Cheryl stand up. "He says that we failed his test. That we're all sinners. The reckoning is upon us." Veronica and I both look at each other, confused. I turn to look at Jughead, but he's gone.
I look back at Ronnie, "What test?"
She shrugs, "I don't know.."
"Okay.." I look at the table. I look over at Archie. I mouth, 'what's happening?' He just shrugs. I look at Betty, and slowly stand up, "How long has it been since he's called you?"
"Not for a little bit..." She says.
I quickly sigh. "Okay, well I'm gonna go home." I realize that I don't even have a car, but I walk out anyways. "I'll see you guys later." They must've forgotten that I don't have a car, too.
"See you tomorrow," I hear Veronica say. I just put a hand up, waving goodbye. I start walking back to my apartment. I realize that it's kind of cold, too. I fold my arms together. I hear a loud noise behind me, and I turn around. A bright light shines on me, making me squint. The noise quiets down and the light turns off.
"[Y/N]?" Someone asks. The boy gets off his motorcycle and takes off his helmet. I realize that it's Jughead.
I chuckle, "Oh, hey Jug."
"What are you doing out here? In pajamas?"
"Um, long story."
"Can I give you a ride home? Or back to my place?"
I shrug, "Either one. I'm not really sure where I'm going, because I'm really tired."
He chuckles, "Come on, get on." He gives me his helmet. I take it and hop on the back with him. I put it on and put my hands around his waist. He starts the motorcycle and starts going. I feel like we're going really fast, but we're probably not. We ride on the road for a long time. I think that we've passed both his trailer and my apartment. We ride through roads in between trees for most of it. He ends up taking me to a totally different place. He stops the bike.
"Jug? Where are we?" I ask, taking off the helmet. He gets off his bike and looks to the right of him. I look, too. We're in a perfect view of the sunrise. Oh, my God, it's beautiful..."Oh.." I stare at the sun. I put the helmet down on the seat. He leads me over to a bench. We both sit down. I chuckle, and look at the sunrise. "I don't get to see things like this very often."
He lightly laughs, "Yeah, I know. I just thought that this would be the perfect place and time to watch it. Even if you fall asleep on my shoulder."
I smile and lean on his shoulder. "Thank you, Jughead."
He puts his arm around me, "You're welcome." We stare at the sun and make some small talk. My energy level has increased, so I'm not as tired anymore. It's been a couple hours, of talking, taking pictures, and...a little bit of making out. Okay more like a lot. I'm still on the left of him, and he's kissing me with his arm around me. We pull away, "You are honestly the best girlfriend I could have. You understand me, and even though we had that fight, well guess what? Couples fight." I smile at him, "In a way, it's kind of connecting."
I smile again, "Jughead, that was so sweet. I love you."
"I love you, too." He leans in for another passionate kiss.

FanfictionSuch a bad title I know. This is the sequel to 'The Diner.' I could've continued on that book, but I felt like I had too many chapters.
