*Your POV*
My phone dings, and I look at it. It's Jughead...Jughead👑💖:
Meet me at Pop's?To Jughead👑💖:
YesI realize now that I haven't seen him in a couple days. I do miss him..I should talk to him. I get out of bed and get dressed. I go outside, and get into my car and drive there. When I walk in, I see an empty booth and go to sit in it. I wait a couple minutes, tapping my foot on the ground. I hear the bell ding behind me.
"[Y/N] [L/N]." Someone says. I turn around, and it's exactly the person I wanted to see. "You are a sight for sore eyes." I smile and stand up. I go over to him. "Thanks for coming to meet me." I pull him in for a kiss. He puts his hands on my waist. After a couple seconds, we pull away. "God, I've missed you. I just..." We both walk over to the booth and sit down. "I don't know. I'm feeling, unmoored."
"Yeah."
"I just wanted to see you."
I give him a small smile. I look down and notice a bandage wrapped around his hand. "What happened to your hand?" I ask, putting mine on his.
He looks down on it, too. "I'm dogsitting," he nods. "Do you remember Hot Dog, that mutt? Don't worry, he's got his shots." We both chuckle. I just stare at our hands touching. There's a moment of silence, and all we can hear are the conversations of others, and the forks clinking on plates. "I wish we could just go," Jug says, making me look up. "Just, hop on a motorcycle and just leave Riverdale." His expression is upset, which is making me upset. I look back down. "Go someplace where there's no Northside or Southside. No Serpents, Ghoulies..."
"No Black Hoods," I nod. "Like...Romeo and Juliet, but we live happily ever after instead." A single tear rolls down my cheek. His eyes are watery, too. We sit there for a little bit in silence again. I'm staring at our hands. Before I get teary again, I check my phone. "I should get going. School will start soon." I say, standing up. He stands up, too.
"I'll see you," he says. We kiss for a couple seconds, and then I pull away. Our faces are inches apart.
"I love you," I say.
He beams and slightly blushes, "I love you, too."
I smile and then walk out. I drive to school, and spot Betty talking with Archie. I go up to them, right as they're ending their conversation. "Hey, guys."
"Hey." Betty says.
Veronica comes up from behind Archie, with Nick. "Nick, this is Betty," she says, leaning against her. "Nick's hosting a party at The Five Seasons, on Saturday, and inviting both of you."
"I wouldn't miss it." Betty says.
"[Y/N]?" Nick asks me. I think about it for a second. I honestly hate parties but...I don't know. I could use a break from life for a little I guess.
I sigh, "Sure. Why not?"
~
Betty and I are sitting in Nick's hotel room with everyone else that he had invited to this dumb party. I honestly don't know why I'm here. The kid even brought Jingle Jangle. Like seriously. Someone had turned on some music, and everyone immediately started dancing, except for of course Betty and I. We're both sitting in some chairs. "Why did we agree to come to this exactly?" I ask.
She sighs, "I don't know..I just thought it could be fun. I haven't really been thinking straight."
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah."
"Are you sure? I mean, you have been acting a little strange."
"Everything's fine," she slightly snaps.

FanfictionSuch a bad title I know. This is the sequel to 'The Diner.' I could've continued on that book, but I felt like I had too many chapters.
