*Your POV*
*BAM*
I immediately sit up, breathing in and out, heavily. I look around me and realize that it was just all a dream. Man, that was my first nightmare in like, three years...The thought of the gun in my closet crept into my mind again. I sigh and lean on my hands. My alarm startles me again and I turn it off. I get out of bed and do all my morning things for school. I drive there and see Kevin.

"Hey, Kev," I say.

"Hey," we walk down the hall, and into the lounge where Veronica and Betty are talking.

"Hi, guys," I say, and sit down in a chair.

"Hey, [F/I] (first initial in case you forgot)" Veronica says. "Nick and I were, the 'will they or won't they?' of our jet set."

"Wait, who?" I ask and laugh a little.

She chuckles, "This guy who has the name, Nick St. Clair. He's an outrageous flirt, but we never dated. We'd hop from club to club, go on these madcap adventures, stay out all night." As she finishes, Archie walks in.

"Who's this now?" he asks.

"Oh, Archiekins, don't be jelly." She puts her arm on his knee as he sits down. "It's just a ghost from my bad girl past, Nick St. Clair. Breezing through the town for the open house, you have nothing to worry about." He raises his eyebrow and nods.

"Well, he sounds interesting. Maybe he's single." Betty teases. We all laugh at that, except Archie. I guess I can understand that, not loving this guy from Ronnie's past. Eh, I'll talk to him, anyway.

"Well, I gotta go. Just came in to say 'hi.'" Archie says, standing up. You have nowhere to go.

"Yeah, me too," I say, standing up as well. I grab my bag. "I'll see you in first," I say, looking at Kevin. He nods. I follow Archie out. "Hey," I start.

"Oh, hey," he says.

"Were you okay? You know, with Veronica's old friend coming back?"

"Yeah, I guess. It's just, they said that they've never dated but, the way that she talked about him. I don't know."

"Yeah, okay I get that." We stop at his locker, and he opens it.

"And I guess it's just all of this Red Circle stuff. I posted an apology video."

"You did?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah. And, my dad was really happy with me so, that's a plus."

"Yeah."

The bell rings. "See you later," he says.

"See you," I say and walk to history.

I meet up with Betty for lunch, and we're sitting at a table outside. She seems a little off, but I'm not sure why. "So, Jughead told me that you cracked the cipher," I say, taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Yeah..it was linked to Nancy Drew in some way that he knew I would only understand," she says.

I nod. "So, what now?" She shrugs. "Is everything okay?" I tilt my head.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know, it's just...you seem a little off today. Did something else happen last night?"

"No. Not that I can think of." she nods.

"Okay. Just making sure," I say. I see Veronica coming over to us. She sits down.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey, guys," she says. She puts her bag down. "Okay so, I want you guys to meet Nick today. He's coming to The Five Seasons with his parents."

I think for a second, "I can go."

"I'll pass," Betty says.

"Oh come on, pleaseeee Betty?" Veronica says, putting her arm across the table.

She chuckles, "No, I can't. I'll meet him later, though."

"Aw, okay."

"So, what time is he coming?" I ask.

"Just right after school. Do you know where it is?"

"I have an idea," I nod.

"Okay cool, I'll see you then." she gets up and walks somewhere.

~

"So, is he really this amazing?" I ask as we pull up to the hotel.

"Yes, he is. He's a really good friend of mine, and we go way back," she says.

"Mhm." I nod. We both get out and walk to the front desk. We wait a little bit for them to get here. Three people walk in, but I'm not sure if it's them or not.

"Mr. and Mrs. St. Clair, welcome to the five seasons," Veronica says. "Nicholas, on behalf of my mother and father, welcome to Riverdale." Okay, so it is. Both the parents have blonde hair, but the younger guy, who I'm assuming is Nicholas, has dark. "This," she points at me, "Is [Y/N], one of my really good friends."

"Hi," I say, slightly waving. Both the parents wave back to me.

"While you're in town, think of me as your, 'corporate concierge.' anything you need, ask away." Veronica says.

"How about a better hotel to start?" Nick asks and chuckles. Wow. Thanks. The parents just look at each other.

"Now now, Nicholas." They kiss each other on the cheek, I guess that's formal. "It's not the Waldorf, nor the Plaza, but, The Five Seasons, like all of Riverdale has its charms."

"One charm. Veronica Lodge. As lovely as ever." Well, she was right. Big flirt. He looks over at me, "I'm sorry, I didn't formally get to introduce myself, Nick St. Clair," He says, taking my hand. He's about to lean down to kiss it, but I pull it away.

"Nope, sorry. You're not getting any of that," I say.

Veronica nudges me, "[Y/N]."

"What? I don't do these things."

He chuckles, "That's quite alright. I'll take it that you're a little different."

Yeah, because I don't come from a wealthy frikin family. "I suppose. Well," I turn to Veronica, "it was nice to meet," I turn back to Nick, "you, but I have to get to work. I'll see you guys around."

"See you," he smirks at me. I just nod and look at Veronica. I raise an eyebrow and then walk out. I drive to Pop's. I go inside and change into my uniform. I go back and start wiping down a table. Alice comes in the door.

"Just my usual Pop, thanks." She says, looking at her phone.

"I don't judge you, Alice. That was years ago." He says.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Alice asks. Yeah, what are you talking about? She looks around, and notices that lots of people are staring at her, and whispering. Pop hands her a newspaper. I go back into the kitchen, and put the dishes in the sink. When I come back out, Alice is gone. I go up to Pop.

"I, couldn't help but overhear but, what was she talking about? What did she see?" I ask.

He sighs, "It's in the Blue and Gold. Check it out." he says, giving me a newspaper. I take it, and it reads, "ALICE COOPER'S SECRET SERPENT PAST." What the hell? I look up at him, and he nods. "Yeah, it's bad."

"Yeah," I say. "Thanks." I turn around, and put the newspaper in my bag, and go to my car. I drive home and call Betty.

*Betty's POV*
I'm in my room, reading. All of a sudden, my phone rings. It's [Y/N]. I pick up.

"What's with this article?" she asks, immediately.

"I...just got mad. I don't know." I can't tell her about the Black Hood calling me.

"I didn't know your mom was a Serpent."

"Apparently. I think it's ridiculous that she talks trash about FP and Jughead even though she was one."

"Yeah, I guess. Well, I just wanted to call to see what that was all about. See you later."

"Yeah," I hang up and go to the bathroom.
