*Your POV*
I drive back to my apartment. I walk in, and I remember that I still have that extra uniform from Pop's. I guess I could work today, earn some cash. I take the uniform, and walk back out to my car, and drive. When I get there, I walk in. There are more people here than when I normally come. I smile at that."[Y/N], how are you?" Pop says, at the counter.
"Good, thanks. I just, came to work and return this." I hold up the uniform and skates.
"Alright."
I walk back to the dressing rooms, and change into my normal one, and hang the other one up. I put my hair into a ponytail, and walk to the kitchen. Becca's cleaning some dishes. "Hey, Becca." I say.
She looks over, "Oh hey, [Y/N]. Great idea about retro-night."
I laugh a little, "Thanks. It was mostly Betty and Kevin's idea, though. I just came up with the roller skates."
She shrugs, "Well, at least you helped."
I nod and walk out. I start busting and wiping some tables. I check my watch, just to see how I am on time. Veronica said to come over at around 6, and it's 3. About two and a half hours of work. Good enough for me. I walk back into the kitchen and put the dishes in the sink. "One cheeseburger, basket of fries, and a chocolate milkshake." Thomas, one of the cooks if you don't remember, says. I go and take the tray. I look on the note sheet, and it says 'Jughead.' Didn't know he was here. Highly doubt it being another Jughead because he's the only one in Riverdale. I walk out and look around for him. I find him, typing on his laptop. I smile and walk over. "Hey," I say, and put his food on the table.
"Hey, didn't know you were working today," he says.
"Well, surprise." We both laugh and I lean against the booth. "So, how's life on the other side?"
He shrugs, "Fine I guess. Got...kind of a bad tour from the mentor," he chuckles.
I smile, "Who was it?"
"Her name's Toni."
I nod, "Sounds fun. Well, I'm gonna get back to work. You're going Veronic's tonight, right?"
"Yep."
"Cool." I walk back to the kitchen and put the tray down. I just keep working and working. About two hours pass, and it's 5:15. I grab my bag. "Hey, Pop. I'm out." I say.
"Alright, thanks." He says and hands me some money. I thank him and walk out to my car. My phone dings, and I look at it.
Archie😹
Talked to Alice, and she said that the Black Hood couldn't have murdered Ms. Grundy...To Archie😹
Oh. Well I guess we have a whole other mystery to solve now. Ugh. We'll talk about it later. Do you need a ride to Veronica's?Archie😹
SureTo Archie😹
I'll pick you up in like five minutes.Archie😹
Okay.I put my phone down, and start my car. I drive home and change back into my normal clothes. I grab my phone, and drive back out to my car, and pick up Archie. He must've seen my pull up because he comes out and gets into the passengers.
"Hey," I say.
"Hey," he says, putting his seatbelt on. We start driving. I look over, and he's looking down.
"You're really putting a lot of thought into this Black Hood thing, aren't you?" I say, making a turn.
"Is it bad?" he asks.
"No." I nod, "Just try not to get too stressed. Betty and Jughead are still working on it, I think." I tilt my head.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
We pull up to Veronica's, and both get out. I knock on her door, and she answers. "Hey, guys," she says.
"Hey," I smile, and we both walk in. I sit in the middle of Jug and Betty on the couch. Archie sits in a chair next to the fireplace. I take some popcorn.
"What happened about not eating until it starts?" Jug asks.
I look over at him, "That's an olllld rule." I say, and we both chuckle.
"Why don't you come sit down next to me, loverboy?" Veronica asks, motioning to Archie. She sits on the couch. "Archie?"
Archie leans forward, "I'm sorry." He puts his face into his hands, "It's just, this thing with Moose. Honestly, it's like no one cares. My dad's always says to leave it to Sherriff Keller and I'm just like, 'Yeah, Dad, 'cause he did such a great job of catching Jason's murder.' Oh, wait I'm sorry that was us." He points to himself.
"Inside voices," Veronica whispers.
"No don't stop him," Jughead says, and Archie looks at him. "Archie going Travis Bickle is my favorite Archie yet," He takes some popcorn. I look over at him and laugh.
"But doesn't it feel like he's targeting us? I mean specifically. I just don't want anyone else getting hurt..." Archie says.
"You know, back in our salad days, when we had a getaway on the Cape, all of us in our little cul-de-sac got together and hired private security to keep up the riff-raff. As an added layer of protection."
"I loved that house." someone says. We all look to who it is, and it's her dad and mom walking in. Archie's the first to shoot up, and we do the same after.
"Daddy," Veronica starts, "are you going to the-"
"-To dinner at the club," Hermione says.
"Yeah, and I wanted to meet your friends first," he says.
"Great, thank you," Vee turns to us. "Uh, this is Betty Cooper, [Y/N] [L/N], and Jughead Jones." she points to the three of us.
"Hi," Betty starts and shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you."
I go next, "Hi," I shake his hand.
Jug goes last, "Hi, you know my dad."
"I do. He's a good man. He values the family. I hope his return comes sooner, rather than later."
"Yeah, so do we all."
"And, this is.." Veronica starts.
"Archie Andrews. The boyfriend." Hiram finishes.
"It's nice to meet you, sir," Archie says.
"Oh please, call me Hiram," they shake hands. I sit back down on the couch with Jughead. "Listen, I couldn't help but overhear your discussion..."
I kind of zone out from their conversation and stare at the fire, leaning against Jughead. His arm's around me. We both keep eating the popcorn and enjoying each other being close.
"Well, should we start?" Veronica asks, breaking our moment.
"Yeah." I lean back to where I was before. She turns on the TV.

FanfictionSuch a bad title I know. This is the sequel to 'The Diner.' I could've continued on that book, but I felt like I had too many chapters.
