Chapter 20: Meeting the parents

"Okay... bye Mom...love you too" I put my phone down on the bed and sighed.

Brooklyn: Is it just me or did Mom seem in a rush today.

Shapphire: Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe she just misses you.

Brooklyn: Yeah maybe.

I know you are a wake already so get dressed and go to the garden. Everyone is waiting for you.

Ok, on my way.

I quickly brushed my teeth, combed my hair and got dressed. Today is Wednesday, which means that my birthday is next Friday and the ball is also next Saturday.

"Morning" I said as I walked up to where evryone was sitting in the garden.

"It's about time" Steph said "I thought I was going to have to go up there and drag that cute little butt of yours down here"

I playfully rolled my eyes and looked around for somewhere to sit. Since no seats were open I decided to sit on the arm of Ethans seat. Just as I sat down Ethan pulled me into his lap.

"You know for someone who always goes to sleep early sure likes to sleep in" Ethan said.

"What can I say I need my beauty sleep" I grabbed a toast that was on the table and took a bite.

"Well we should get going we don't wanna be late" Matthew said standing up.

"Late for what?" I asked.

"Uh nothing. We just have this thing we have to do" he replied.

"Yeah we have a meeting with someone very important" AJ added.

I nodded slowly. "Who is we?"

"Well my love, we is Matthew, AJ, Andrew and myself" Ethan said as he gently pulled me off his lap.

"Ok just don't get home so late again and I'm talking to all of you" I spoke looking at all the guys. They all nodded.

"I'll see you later my little air bender" Ethan said as he pecked my lips. Matthew and AJ kissed their mates goodbye and once again left for the day.

"I wonder what their up to" I said once the guys were gone.

"Me too. AJ's been acting a little weird" Steph added.

"So has Ethan. What do you guys think about this?" I asked facing Heather and Jane.

They both looked and each other and shook their heads. "Not sure. But I'm sure its nothing" Heather said as she took a sip of her coffee.

Somethings going on and I'm gonna find out what it is.

"Hey Mary. What's cooking?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"Oh nothing just restocking the kitchen" she replied.

"Cool. Need any help?"

"I wouldn't mind" I nodded and followed her.

"I didn't know there was another kitchen" I said looking around the huge kitchen.

"Well we use this kitchen to cook for big events a nd things that's why it looks like the one in a restaurant, just a lot bigger" I nodded for her to keep talking as I continued to look around "The one you always see is for little things, like baking cookies or something"

"That's why it looks like one you usually find in a house" I said. She nodded. "Now are you be a darling and grab everything that is on this list"
