Next Day

I started to text people and tell them about the party. I knew I needed to call Dylan, but it was going to be very awkward. I brought his contact up and hit the call button.

Phone Call D. Dylan T. Tanner

D. Yo.

T. Sup dude.

D. What is up?

T. So I'm hosting a surprise party for Lindsey for her birthday.

D. When?

T. On her birthday.

D. Okay. I'll be there.

T. Alright dope. So how was the surgery?

D. Fine. Knee hurts a lot.

T. I bet.

D. Yeah. I'll talk to you later.

T. Yeah for sure man.

D. Bye.

T. See ya.

Dylan hung up on me and I rolled my eyes. If it was up to me, I would not invite him, but it's for Lindsey so whatever.

Three Weeks Later (Lindsey's Birthday)

Lindsey's POV

I woke up to a bunch of text messages wishing me a happy birthday. I smiled and scrolled through the messages.

From: Lil Fox

Happy birthday best friend! I love you lots and miss you tons.

From: Jake Angeles💕

Happy birthday. Sorry about everything that went down with us. You're still important to me. Have a good day J

From: Tan the Man

Happy birthday beautiful. Text me when you wake up and I'll come pick you up. I'm going to make your 17th a good one. Dress nice ;)

I grinned and texted a bunch of people back. I decided to go through my closet and find a cute outfit. I finally found a cute marron, lace crop top and a black skirt. Once I heard Tanner's car on my street I ran downstairs and opened the front door. "Happy birthday babe," He smiled and hugged me. "I feel so old," I scrunched my nose up. "I like older women," he said and winked. "What are we doing today?" I asked getting into his car. "IHOP, mall to buy whatever you want, then my house," he said pulling out of my driveway. "Ooo," I cooed and he laughed.

"Try this on," Tanner said. I turned my head and he was holding a tight dress with a slit in the side and a plunging V-neck. "Nice try," I laughed. He put it back and I went in the dressing room to try on a cute dress. "Does this look cute?" I asked Tanner and looked in the mirror. When I looked at Tanner in the mirror he was on his phone. "Tanner," I said. He didn't move. "Oh my god. Lindsey you look so good. You should buy that! Aw stop you're making me blush," I said complimenting myself and then thanking myself. Tanner, again, didn't move. I bit the inside of my cheek and went back in the dressing room to get changed. "I'm gonna pay for this," I told Tanner and walked to the register. Tanner walked up behind me and put his hand on my hip. "You ready to go back to my house?" Tanner asked. I nodded and he smiled. We left the mall and started to drive to Tanner's house. "Is Quentin here?" I asked as we got out of the car. "I guess so," Tanner said and ushered me into the house. "Why are you pushing me?" I asked when we got into the house. "Sorry," he cleared his throat. "SURPRISE!" People screamed. My jaw dropped and I saw all of my friends. "Oh my god. Thank you guys," I smiled and gave Tanner a hug. "Lindsey," someone came up behind me. "TFOX!" I yelled and gave him a hug. Once I realized all my California friends were there, I hugged them. "Happy birthday Linds," I heard and felt a hand on my back. I turned my head and saw Dylan Mitchell with his crutches and stuff. "Thank you Dyl," I smiled and gave him a hug. "How's the knee?" I asked and took a sip of my drink. "It hurts," he laughed and took a sip of his. I nodded and he did too. "Can I talk to you outside?" I bit my lip. "Sure," he nodded. Dylan and I walked outside away from the house and he leaned up against the tree. "I'm really sorry," I sighed. "For what?" He asked. "Tanner and I are kind of dating," I told him. "Okay," he nodded. "Are you upset?" I sighed. "I mean, kind of, but when I kicked you out of my house that day I kinda knew there wasn't going to be anymore Dylan and Lindsey," He told me. "I'm sorry," I ran my fingers through my hair. "Don't be. Be happy. It is your birthday," he nudged me. We laughed lightly and I gave him a hug.

Tanner's POV

"Thanks for inviting me bro," Tanner Fox told me. "For sure. No problem," I smiled. We started talking and I turned my head. Right when I turned my head I noticed Lindsey going outside with Dylan Mitchell. "I will be right back dude," I told Tanner and hit his arm. I ran to the window and watched them talk for a little. "Dude what are you doing?" Quentin hit my back and looked out the window. Dylan and Lindsey hugged. For whatever reason, it hurt me. I knew she didn't have feelings for him anymore, but damn. "Maybe it was a friendly hug," Quentin assured me. "Maybe," I sighed. Lindsey and Dylan walked inside and I ran over to Lindsey. "What were you guys talking about?" I asked. "I told him we were dating and he was okay with it," She told me. "Really?" My face softened. She nodded and gently kissed me.

Lindsey's POV

The party ended and I waved to everyone saying I would text them. "Come with me," Tanner pulled me to his room. "I'm tired," I groaned. "No do not be tired," Tanner laughed. Tanner opened the door to his room and he had candles lit. "You did this for me?" I turned to him. He closed the door and nodded. "I love you Lindsey," he smiled. "I love you too Tanner," I told him. He put his hand on my hip and kissed me. We continued to kiss and we made our way to his bed. "Don't trip over the candles," I panicked. We both laughed and Tanner gently pushed me onto the bed. "Tanner are you sure?" I asked pulling away. "Don't do this because you feel obligated to," I told him. "I'm positive," he nodded.

"Thank you for an amazing birthday Tanner," I said moving my fingers up and down his chest. "No problem," he kissed my head. Tanner's phone started ringing and he rolled over to answer it. "Yeah. Okay. No problem. I'll be right over. Love you too," Tanner said on the phone. "Who was that?" I asked biting my lip. "My grand mom. Do you wanna meet my grandparents?" Tanner asked. "They will love you," Tanner explained when he saw the expression on my face. I nodded and got dressed into leggings and one of Tanner's merch shirts. "You look cute," Tanner smiled and kissed me. We got into Tanner's R8 and drove to his grandparents' house. "Hi grand mom," Tanner smiled as he got out of the car and gave her a hug. "Hi honey. Who's this?" She asked when she saw me. "This is my girlfriend Lindsey," Tanner grabbed my hand. "Hi," I smiled. "You are very pretty," She told me. "Oh my god thank you," I blushed and put my hand on my heart. "Please come in," She guided us inside. A little dog ran over to me and I gushed over it. "Oh my god she is so cute," I gushed and continued to pet the dog. "Grand mom," A voice called out. "What Logan?" She shouted. "Logan is here?" Tanner's face lit up. "He's in the garage with your grandfather," she pointed. "Come on Linds. I want you to meet them," Tanner smiled and grabbed my hand. We walked into the garage and a kid a little shorter than Tanner looked over at me. "Tanner who's that?" He asked bro-hugging Tanner. "My girlfriend Lindsey," Tanner smiled. "Hey," he grinned. I waved and Tanner snaked his arm around my waist. "Lindsey this is Logan, my cousin," Tanner introduced us. "Hi," I smiled. "Tanner I didn't know you were stopping by," An older man walked through the garage door. "I figured you would have wanted to meet the girl responsible for my happiness," Tanner looked at me. "Very cheesy," I laughed. He laughed as well and his granddad walked over to us. "I'm his grandfather," He nodded. "I'm Lindsey. It's so nice to meet you," I grinned. "Same here," He nodded. "My granddad has the nicest car Linds," Tanner told me. "Really?" I perked up. He smiled and nodded. "Girl likes car?" Logan asked. "She's perfect for me," Tanner kissed my cheek and I blushed. We walked over to his granddads car and looked at it. After being outside a little while, we went inside and started a fire. My phone started to ring so I excused myself and went outside.
