CHLOE'S POV
It's New Year's Eve.I usually go to a stupid party with Jay, but I'm spending it with Drew this year.
As long as I'm with him, I'm okay.
At around five I go to his house.
"We should've gone to see the ball drop." He said.
"You're such a tourist." I said.
He laughed.
"I hope you know twenty eighteen will be your year. It'll be my year. It'll be our year." He told me.
"Speaking of which, I heard back from UCLA today." I said.
"And?" He asked.
"The University of California Los Angeles is delighted to let you know that we've accepted you for the twenty eighteen twenty nineteen school year." She said.
"Chlo!" I exclaimed squeezing her.
"Now I have three beautiful school flags above my bed." I said.
"Soon, there will be more." He said.
"Hopefully." I said.
"Don't worry. You got this." He said.
Later into the night, I went back inside my house to get a bottle of champagne.
We were going to climb the roof again.
"You were the best part of my twenty seventeen." I said staring at the darkened sky.
"Shooting star." He said pointing at the sky.
We closed our eyes and wished.
"What'd you wish for?" He asked.
"If I tell you, it won't come true." I said.
"Fair point." He said.
He looked at his watch.
"Only an hour until twenty eighteen." He said.
"Let's make this our year. I love you so much." I said.
"I love you so much more." He said.
