DREW'S POV
"How are you feeling after the divorce?" I asked."I'm still getting used to it. Having to take the subway in to see my mom and getting lost isn't totally ideal." She said.
"Understandable. You know I'm here, right?" I asked.
She nodded.
"I just don't want you to keep things botteled in anymore. It isn't healthy." I said.
"I know. But sometimes I can't help it. I keep telling myself to suck it up and I'll be fine." She sighed.
"Well don't. You just come to me. I'm always here for you." I said.
"Thank you." She said putting her head on my shoulder.
"How have the people at school been treating you?" I asked.
"Jade's coming up with a plan to get you away from me." She said.
"Do you know what it is?" I asked so I could be prepared.
"She's going to the mall to get a whole new look for Monday in case you come and pick me up again." She said.
"No matter how much she maxes out her credit card, she'll never be as beautiful as you." I said pushing some hair out of her face.
She put her head down and played with her necklace.
"Hey, smile. Happy looks good on you." I said lifting her chin up.
She faked a smile.
"Don't make me." I said threatening her.
"Don't make you what?" She asked sassily.
"Oh you know." I said.
"Not sure I do." She said looking at her nails.
I grabbed her and started tickling her.
Her laugh sounded like music to my ears.
"Drew! Stop! You're going to break the tent!" She exclaimed gasping for air.
I let her go.
"You're cute." I said.
"I love you so much." She said.
"I love you so much more, darling." I said.
