CHLOE'S POV
"So you're not upset that your parents are putting your tuition to a new apartment?" Drew asked me.I just shrugged.
"Manhattan has some nice ones. So does Brooklyn." I said.
"I thought you'd be devastated." He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you're always telling me you want to be a teacher. How much you love kids and how you want to help people." He said.
"Well I don't intend on quitting teaching the kids to dance at the studio, or stop coaching the kids at the gym." I said.
"But that's different." He said.
"Yeah? How so?" I asked starting to get annoyed.
"A dance studio and tumbeling place totally differs from a classroom. Are they learning? For sure. But in a school you teach them things they need to know. Like how to read and simple math." He explained.
I tried not to get upset like I usually do.
I blinked back tears.
Why is he being like this?
Why does he have to continue to argue?
"I teach them things they need in life. You can't continue dance if you can't plie and you can't continue gymnastics if you don't know how to do a handstand." I said.
"Who says they're going to keep doing dance and gymnastics?" He asked.
"I'm just saying!" I said getting more defensive than I intended to.
"I'm just saying teachers are always needed." He said.
"Alright fine! I'm more than heartbroken that I can't go to college! There, you happy I admitted it?!" I yelled.
"Chlo, calm down. I knew you were upset. I didn't want you to keep it bottled in anymore because this happens. You get mad and you just break down." He said calming me down.
"Could've been nicer." I mumbled.
"I guess. But tough love." He said kissing the side of my head.
