DREW'S POV
I rolled over and stuck my arm out.Confused, I brought my arm back and opened my eyes.
"Chloe?" I asked sitting up.
She wasn't here.
No one was home.
I looked at my phone.
It's Thursday.
She's at school.
I sighed a sigh of relief.
I hope she's doing okay.
Her parents are going to court today.
I have no idea who's going to get custody over her.
Or if they're even going that route since she's a legal adult.
I wait for her to get back.
Only five hours.
It's boring without her.
Why does she still have to go to school?
Luckily, I hear her car pull up.
I hear the door open.
"Hi angel." I said greeting her.
''Hi babe.'' She said.
"How was your day?" I asked.
''It was okay." She said.
"Just okay?" I asked.
"Yeah. Every girl in my grade is obsessed with you. They keep asking if you'd serenade them." She said.
"Obviously it's a no from me. This voice is strictly reserved for you." I said.
I saw her smile and hug me.
I held onto her tiny body as tightly as possible.
"Have you heard anything from your parents?" I asked.
"No. They had to be at court like an hour ago in New Jersey." She said.
"Do you know if they're bringing up custody?" I asked.
"They might. But I don't know what that means for me since I'm technically an adult." She said.
"If you need a place to stay, you know I'm here. I don't care for how long." He said.
"Thank you. I really do appreciate it." She said.
"Anything for my baby girl." I said kissing the top of her head.
"I love you so much." She said.
"I love you so much more, honey." I said.
