DREW'S POV
I've never been this anxious to get a phone call.

We head home in two days and I haven't gotten a word from anyone.

"They're not going to call I just know it." I said.

"You don't know that." She said.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Talk about attitude." She said.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I want this more than anything right now." I sighed.

"It's okay. Just remember, you can't control what's going to happen in the future. You can only control what's going to happen in the present." She said.

"Hey I said that." I said.

"Do you remember when?" She asked.

"When you applied to your first college." I said.

"This is bigger than college, but I'll be here to calm you down just like you did." She said.

"How'd I get so lucky?" I asked.

"It all started when my parents liked that house next to yours." She said.

I chuckled.

She always made me laugh when I didn't.

"Thank you. I don't know what'd I be without you." I smiled.

"I know what I'd be, a hot mess." She said.

I laughed.

"You're a mess now, but a not one." I said winking at her.

She bursted out laughing.

"Thank you, thank you. That's how I pick up girls." I said.

"Really? How many have you picked up?" She asked.

"Just one. But one's all I really need." I said kissing her cheek.

"Gross. Drew germs." She said.

"I know you love my germs." I said.

"I guess." She said.
