"WHAT are you doing here?"

Aaminin kong medyo nagulat ako sa biglaang pagsulpot ni Carina.

"Gusto sana kitang makausap, K."

Tumalikod si Merritt at dumiretso sa kwarto. Tiningnan ko lamang siya hanggang sa nakapasok na siya ng tuluyan sa kwarto.

Pinapasok ko si Carina. "Anong kailangan mo?"

Umupo ito at sumeryoso ang magandang mukha. "K. My dad wants us to be married."

"What?!"

"Ayaw niyang lumaki ang bata na walang, ama." Dagdag pa niya.

"Tapos na tayo diba?"

Nanubig ang magandang mata ni Carina. "K. I'm sorry... Nadala lang ako sa magagandang salita ni Aki."

I exhaled deeply. "Carina, with all due respect. Are you sure that's mine?"

"K... What are you saying? Ofcourse. Ikaw ang nakauna saakin. Alam mo yan!"

"Carina, look. Ako nga nakauna sayo pero isang beses lang may nangyari saatin."

"K, this is your child."

I'm still not convinced. Alam kong may namagitan sa kanila ni Aki. Hindi ako maniniwalang walang nangyari sa kanila ni isa.

"Believe me. K, this is yours. My dad's wants us to be married as soon as possible."

"Seriously?"

Her Father was a famous american business man here in the U.S. Carina's mom was a filipina that's why she knew how to speak tagalog or whatever.

I met her in New york. My dad and her father was best friends. They were so wise regarding to their businesses. They wanted it to be perfect everytime they have a tasks as well as dealing with huge companies here in the U.S. The two are well-known as the smartest business man in this country.

Her father knew that I was dating her daughter since the day we met. And I don't even bother to care about it all that matters to me that time was to have her. But it all changes when she met Aki Sanders, I might not know him personally but they say that the man was filthy rich.

"K, please. You don't want my dad and your dad to be mad at us, right? Me. either so please..."

Tumulo ang kanyang luha. "K, just think about this child not me. And the relationships of our Father's. They were best friends remember?"

Napatayo siya at lumapit saakin. Hinawakan niya ang aking braso.
"Keilev, please. Nagmamakaawa ako, let's get married or else ipapalaglag ko ang batang ito."

"What?! Are you out of your mind? Wala ka bang konsensya?"

"What else do you want me to do? K, dad warned me. If you won't marry me he wants me to abort this child. Ayaw niya na walang ama ang bata. Mas mabuti nalang daw wag ko nalang ituloy kaysa lumaki ito ng walang ama."

"Your dad was horrible!"

"K, just tell me if you want this child or not."

"Let me think about this, first."

Napahawak ako sa aking sentido.
"Umalis ka muna. Mag iisip muna ako."

"Tawagan mo ko pag nakapag desisyon ka na."

Dinampot niya ang kanyang bag at lumabas na.

"Damn!"

This life sucks!

Bigla kong naalala si Merritt. "Fvck!"

Tinungo ko ang kwarto at pinihit ang seradura. Naka locked iyon.

Kumatok ako ngunit walang sumasagot kaya wala na akong nagawa pa kung hindi ang kunin ang aking duplicate key.

Pagkabukas ko niyon ay nakaupo lang si Merritt sa kama. Nilapitan ko ang babae.

"L-lov-

"I'm leaving."

Tumingin ito saakin namamaga ang mata niya. Darn!

Tumayo na ito at nag ayos. "A-alis na ako."

"Merritt, wait."

Anong sasabihin ko? Damn! I know she heard everything...

"I'm sorry..." Iyon lang ang tanging lumabas sa bibig ko.

"It's fine. It was just a plain sex, one night stand."

Tiningnan ko lang siya hanggang sa mawala na ito sa aking paningin.

What I'm gonna do, now? Shit! Bakit ko pa kasi nabuntis si Carina. Kung nag ingat lang sana ako hindi sana ganito mangyayari.

My other side wants Merritt but I don't want my baby to die either.

Napaupo ako sa kama at napahawak sa aking ulo.

I must talk to my dad about this. Ni-dial ko ang kanyang number.

"Hello?"

"Dad, it's me."

"Keilev, Mabuti at tumawag ka. Nag uusap kami ngayon ng daddy ni Carina patungkol sa kasal niyo."

"Ano?! Dad! Why-

"Son. Let's talk about this when I get home."
